Three Antigo Penguin swimmers continue competing after Penguin season ends

Antigo Penguins received awards.

A few Antigo Swim Club swimmers have continued to compete even after the end of the Antigo Penguin season. Tristin Arlen, Chloe Tainter and Holland Tainter joined the NLAC swim team and competed in the WI Regional Championships Feb.17-18 in Fond du Lac. This meet resulted in more personal best times as well as State and Midwest Regional qualifications.

Tristin Arlen swam state qualifying times in the 100Y Backstroke, 100Y Freestyle and 50Y Breaststroke for age 10 & Under. Holland Tainter swam state qualifying times in the 25Y Butterfly, 50Y Freestyle and 25Y Freestyle for age 8 & Under.

Both Tristin and Holland received 3rd place High Point trophies in their age groups.

Swimming age group 9-10

Tristin Arlen (age 10): Open 50Y Freestyle 32.29- 43rd place, 50Y Butterfly 37.91- 4th place, 100Y Breaststroke 1:36.41- 2nd place, Open 100Y Backstroke 1:22.54- 27th place- State Time, 50Y Breaststroke 42.87- 2nd place- State Time, 100Y Freestyle 1:10.15- 1st place- State Time, 100Y IM 1:23.33- 4th place, 200Y Medley Relay- 1st place, 200Y Freestyle Relay- 1st place

Chloe Tainter (age 10): 50Y Freestyle 34.52- 13th place, 50Y Butterfly 37.90- 3rd place, 100Y Butterfly 1:28.13- 1st place

Swimming age group 8 and Under

Holland Tainter (age 8): 25Y Freestyle 17.01- 1st place- State Time, 25Y Butterfly 19.51- 2nd place- State Time, 25Y Backstroke 21.49- 2nd place, 50Y Backstroke 43.78- 1st place, 50Y Freestyle 37.86- 1st place- State Time, 100Y Medley Relay- 1st place

All three of the swimmers are qualified and plan on competing at Midwest Regionals which will be held in Minneapolis, MN, April 7-8.

Tristin Arlen along with Mya Burt will compete in the 12 & Under State competition held in Milwaukee, WI, Feb. 23-25.
