The 44th annual White Lake Fire Department Fishing Derby is set for this Saturday, February 10th.  The event runs from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is headquartered at the heated White Lake Pavilion.  There will be fun for the whole family, including door prizes, food and refreshments.  Raffle tickets will be available all day, with the main drawing at 4 p.m.  The top prize is $750.00, with a $500.00 second-prize and other cash prizes.  You could also win an air compressor, a $200.00 Edelman Meats certificate, or a rod-and-reel.  There will be other raffles, a “paddle wheel” with prizes including bacon, ham, sausage, cheese, etc., and a 50-50 drawing.  Tickets are $1.00 each, or 6 for $5.00.  Cash prizes will be awarded for the longest game and/or pan fish caught during the day from White Lake, with the fish displayed at the pavilion.  You need not be present to win.

Proceeds from the White Lake Fishing Derby are used toward the purchase of equipment for the fire department.  The department also makes a significant donation to support the White Lake Independence Day Celebration, which will be on Saturday, July 7th this year.  For more information, call 715-882-2246 or 715-216-1601.
