Witt-Birn wins over Manawa, a second senior hits 1,000 mark

The Chargers had to shake some rust off Friday night for another home win after not having played for a week. Their offensive execution was sub par the first half of the game, but they played well defensively on the other hand and really took away Manawa’s top scoring options all night.  Trevor Groshek and Matt Kapitz took their perimeter shooters out of the game.  Shane Herb also gave the team some good minutes.

Cory Fraaza had a monster night on the offensive end of the floor and it put him over the 1,000 mark for his career.
“He’s meant a lot to our program and its been pretty amazing to have 2 seniors hit 1000 in the same year.  I’m not sure we will ever see that happen again in our program,” Coach Lon Ebel said.
The final score of the game was 59-45.
