The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin (ADRC-CW) is excited to announce the hire of Jonette Arms as its new executive director. Arms is filling the position vacated by Linda Weitz’s retirement. The selection was made after a competitive recruitment process conducted by the ACRC-CW Board of Directors.

Arms comes to the ADRC-CW with a broad background that has prepared her for the role of executive director. She is seen as a visionary leader who has worked with older adults on a local, state, and national level. Most recently she held the positions of Interim and Assistant Executive Director for the Milwaukee County Department of Aging. Arms is the recipient of the 2014 Wisconsin Alliance for Retired Americans Community Service Award and the 2015 Milwaukee Times Black Excellence Community Service Award. She impressively advocated for older adults on Wisconsin Public Radio for the 50th anniversary of the Older American’s Act and published Impact and Innovations: Effective Models and Practices in Serving Older Adults in 2010.

Arms assumes the role of executive director on March 19, 2018.

The ADRC-CW is a regional organization providing consistent aging and disability resource center and Older Americans Act services to the counties of Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, and Wood. It is guided by one board of directors, an advisory committee, and administered by one management team.
