Caryl Jean Hellmuth, 88

Caryl J. Hellmuth, age 88, of Antigo died Sunday, March 04, 2018 at Evergreen Terrace under the care of LeRoyer Hospice.
Caryl was born on February 27, 1930 in Antigo to the late Walter and Alvina (Lauby) Blazek.
She was united in marriage to Lee F. Hellmuth. He preceded her in death in 1968.
Caryl attended St. John Catholic Grade School and graduated from Antigo High School in 1948. She went on to attend UW Milwaukee, completing her degree in special education.
She taught special education in the Milwaukee Public School system for 18 years. She returned to Antigo in 1979 and continued teaching at the Antigo Middle School until retiring in 1989.
Caryl was a past member of the Wisconsin Education Association, Langlade Memorial Hospital Volunteers, and Langlade County Historical Society and volunteered at the Langlade County Humane Society.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Kaye Wojczynski of Jackson, WI, LuAnn (James) Mathis of Pickerel, 2 brothers, Dean (Polly) Blazek of Pickerel and Jay Paul (Judy) Blazek of Pulaski, WI. Caryl is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A private mass of Christian Burial was held at St. John Catholic Church. Interment has taken place at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Memorial in Caryl’s name may be given to the Langlade County Humane Society or Living Waters.
Caryl’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Evergreen Terrace and the LeRoyer Hospice.
