Catherine Kautza, 91

Catherine Kautza, of Aniwa was called into the arms of the angels on Sunday, March 11, 2018. She was 91 years old. She was born on May 13, 1926, in Antigo, a daughter of the late of Leo and Anna (Kuhr) Lenzner. She married Clifford Kautza on October 29, 1947, at St. John Catholic Church, Antigo. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1993.

She enjoyed being a clerk at Kautza’s Grocery Store in Aniwa and working in the meat department at Copps in Antigo. She was a foster grandparent for the Unified School District of Antigo.

Catherine was a member at St. Boniface Catholic Parish in Aniwa and the Christian Mother’s. She had a deep and abiding faith in God. She left a lasting legacy in the love she shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Her hobbies included crafts, reading and baking. She enjoyed her time at the Homme Home, especially the time she had with her sister.

Survivors include seven children, Mary Jo (Duane) Ninnemann of Aniwa and their children Nick, Samantha, Crystal and Jim; Patricia (Dick) Ottman of Chisago City, Minn. and their children Carey (Brian) Everson and Jon (Danielle); Georgine Kautza of Kaukauna; Kristine Fahrbach of Kaukauna; Bernadette (Michael) Pawelczyk of Hortonville and their children Katie and Adam; daughter-in-law, Kathy Kautza, and children Matt (Sarah) and Dan (Amanda); Peter Kautza of Colorado Springs, CO and children, Kitrina and Mitchell; Mark (Debbie) Kautza of Antigo and their children, Ben (Kristen), Chris (Stacy) and Alex (Kale); Anna (Dean) Schardt of McKinney, Texas and their children Brian (Jessica) and Tyler (Caroline). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Kautza; a great-granddaughter, Evvy Kautza; sisters, June Resch, Lorraine Resch and Mabel Noskowiak; and brothers, Walter “Bill”, Richard “Dick”, Roy, Robert and Ralph.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in St. Boniface Parish Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and Wednesday, March 21 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. A parish wake service will be held on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
