On Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 8:24pm the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Donna’s Village Pump, 1203 Fourth St., in Mattoon advising that they had just been robbed. The caller stated a white male approximately 6 feet tall wearing camo and a ski mask entered the store carrying a gun. The male suspect demanded the clerk, who was alone in the store, give him all the money.

According to the Shawano Leader website, Shawano County Sheriff Adam Bieber stated that the suspect’s vehicle matched the description of a vehicle seen in the area around the time of the robbery.

Items were found inside the vehicle that matched the description of what the suspect was wearing, and a cash box reported missing from the gas station was also found.
