ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS

Monday, April 16th

7:00 PM Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on S. Hudson Street. A female subject was arrested for possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping. A second female subject was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

7:09 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on Freiburger Avenue. The male driver of Vehicle 1 was backing out of his driveway and didn’t see Vehicle 2 parked on the street. Vehicle 1 struck Vehicle 2 on the left side leaving moderate damage, but it was still functional. Vehicle 1 had minimal damage to the left rear bumper.

8:39 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Clermont Street and Bridge Street. The canine officer was alerted. Officers located meth in the vehicle. A male and a female subject were arrested for possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping. The male subject was also cited for failure to fasten a seat belt, operating without a license and failure to have his passenger fasten a seat belt. They were transported to Corrections.

8:50 PM Officers were out with a vehicle at an area business on 5th Avenue. A female subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant. A second female subject was cited for operated after revocation, operating while intoxicated related.

Tuesday, April 17th

8:17 AM Officers responded to a call from North Elementary school requesting an officer for a student that was hitting teachers. The 9 year old student had swung at and struck four teachers. The student was referred for disorderly conduct.

9:23 PM Officers executed a search warrant at an apartment on Dorr Street. A male subject was arrested for possession of meth, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. A second male subject was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were transported to Corrections.

Wednesday, April 18th

8:31 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that her vehicle was struck in the Antigo High School parking lot. Vehicle 2 was legally parked in the lot, southbound. Vehicle 1 was westbound in the parking lot and attempted to park next to Vehicle 2. The female driver of Vehicle 1 told officers that she didn’t turn correctly and struck Vehicle 2 in the driver’s rear fender causing light damage. Vehicle 1 sustained damage to the passenger side front fender. There were no injuries.

1:16 PM Officers referred a student at Antigo High School for having a dangerous weapon, other than a firearm, on school premises.

1:17 PM Officers cited an Antigo Middle school student for criminal damage.

Thursday, April 19th

9:06 AM Officers responded to a call from North Elementary requesting an officer for a 10 year old male student who had struck a teacher. The male student was referred to juvenile court for criminal damage and disorderly conduct.

4:47 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on S. Superior Street reporting that they had a fraudulent $20 bill. Officers talked with the female subject who had the $20 bill. She told officers that she didn’t know she had a fake bill until she had tried to use it at the business. The bill was placed into evidence.

8:43 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. A male subject was referred for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

9:58 PM Officers executed a search at a residence on Edison Street. A male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Friday, April 20th

1:45 PM Officers were at a residence on Lincoln Street. A male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

5:38 PM Officers responded to a report of a white male subject that was checking car doors at Lake Park on Hudson Street. The subject was described as wearing a black leather jacket, a baseball hat, with glasses and a beard. Officers were unable to locate the male subject.

6:51 PM Officers were out with a female subject on Field Street. She was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant.

10:51 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 8th Avenue and Superior Street. The male driver was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also cited for failure to display a license plate.

Saturday, April 21st

12:40 AM Officers did a walk through at an area business on Edison Street. A male subject was arrested for bail jumping.

12:52 AM Officers did a walk through at an area business on 5th Avenue. A male subject was arrested for bail jumping.

12:42 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that her Apple account had been hacked and several charges had been attempted. Officers found out that her Apple ID had been compromised and charges were made for several Chinese apps, some costing $30 and $60. The perps had her home address, phone number and email address. The female told officers that her bank had refunded her account and the account had been closed. She also changed her Apple ID password.

12:54 PM Officers were investigating a possible impersonation of a police officer. A Facebook video was circulating showing a male subject dancing at an area business on 5th Avenue the night before wearing a brown uniform with an old Langlade County Sheriff’s Office patch, handcuffs and a holster with what appeared to be a gun. The subject was heard saying that he was off duty now. Officers were able to identify the male subject and he was interviewed by officers. He admitted to wearing the outfit and said that he had previously worn it as a Halloween costume. He told officers that he had been at a banquet and he was wearing it as a costume, as an ongoing joke with some buddies. The “gun” was just a piece of wood. The male told officers that it was a joke and he didn’t mean anything by it. Officers warned the male about impersonating an officer and how behavior in a Sheriff’s Department uniform could look to the public. The items were turned over to officers.

10:01 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at an area business on Hwy. 64. A female passenger was arrested on a Langlade County warrant.

Sunday, April 22nd

2:08 AM Officers were out with a male subject at 5th Avenue and Field Street. The male subject was cited for open intoxicants off premises.

3:40 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that they had just rescued a baby from the middle of 5th Avenue and they would like have officers to come because the parents were causing a problem. The child was a two and a half year old male. The mother told officers that the child had gotten away from her and she would be more careful.

7:50 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on 3rd Avenue reporting that his new Makita skill saw was missing from the back of his truck. He told officers that the night before, he had finished at a job site, then drove to an area business on Hwy. 64 and then spent the night at a residence on 3rd Avenue. He didn’t notice that the saw was missing until the next morning and he didn’t know if it had been taken while it he was at the business on Hwy. 64 or while at the residence on 3rd Avenue. The saw was about one year old and was valued at just under $200. The male told officers that he had a possible suspect, but would not give out the name until they checked the store video. Officers were investigating.

 

 

LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS

Friday, April 20th

11:04 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a black pickup truck was well into the ditch at the intersection of Cty. Rd. T and Cty. Rd. H and no one was around. He gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. The vehicle was registered to a female subject in Waupaca County. Officers contacted the female subject who stated that her boyfriend had the truck and he wasn’t answering the phone. Upon the officers’ arrival, a male subject was in the passenger seat and he told officers that his buddy had been driving. Eventually the male subject admitted to lying and said that he had been driving. He consented to a search of the vehicle. A case of beer was located with three empty cans and an empty coffee mug that smelled of liquor. A standardized field sobriety test was performed. The male subject was not intoxicated. He was cited for operating while suspended and failure to keep the vehicle under control.

8:07 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he witnessed seeing a newer gray Grand Prix drive up to a residence on Chillie Road, throw something at it or in it, he heard a window break, and then the vehicle drove off. The vehicle headed south on Chillie Road and then east on Cherry Road. The caller told officers that there was a male and a female subject in the vehicle and the female subject was wearing a white jacket. When officers arrived, they walked around the house with the owner and noticed a broken window on the east side of the house. They also observed two sets of foot prints in the snow and tire tracks to the back door of the house. They then went inside with the owner who told officers that someone had gone through some drawers, as they were now open and they had been previously closed. They also found the rock that was used to break the window. Officers were unable to locate the subjects. An extra patrol was requested.

9:04 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Forrest Avenue reporting that a car went into the ditch on the corner of S. Dorr Street and Forrest Road. A female party had been in the business, asking customers to help pull her out. The female had smelled of alcohol. Officers arrested the female subject for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense and operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol content. The vehicle was towed and held.

Sunday, April 22nd

12:14 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a one vehicle accident on Hwy. 55. The caller told officers that he thought that the vehicle was smoking. Officers then received multiple other calls about the accident. The female driver was transported to Langlade Hospital by Pickerel EMS as her leg was bent in various unnatural ways and the female appeared to have a head injury from striking the windshield. The female told officers that she didn’t remember getting in the accident. She thought that she must have fallen asleep. Officers observed that her front tire went into the ditch approximately 6 to 10 feet prior to the driveway of an area business, then upon exiting the ditch she proceeded to pass in front of the business, then over a snowbank where her vehicle then struck an electric box, a tree and then came to rest after striking a large boulder.

12:18 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 45 reporting a gas drive off that had occurred at 10:45 AM. The female subject left without paying for $58.60 worth of gas. The business gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. Officers later found out that this vehicle had not pumped any fuel. They then reviewed security footage, but were unable to get a plate number of the correct vehicle. The female driver had entered the business, so officers were going to review in-store video.

11:17 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Birch Road. The female driver was arrested on Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrants.

Monday, April 23rd

8:32 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on Cty. Rd. A reporting that someone broke into her home. The female told officers that she had not noticed it until that day, when she saw that the back door was not shut all of the way and that door was always locked. An IPhone was taken, along with an estimated $5,000 in cash from a bank bag. The female told officers that it must have occurred when she had gone to dinner the night before. There were no suspects.

1:04 PM Officers were at a residence on 5th Avenue. Officers arrested a male subject for possession of meth with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule II drug and bail jumping.

4:41 PM Officers referred a male student from White Lake School for disorderly conduct.

5:40 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Hwy. 64 and Flak Road. There were no injuries. There was some debris in the road. A state report was filed.

9:06 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female reporting that she struck a bear just east of Polar-Evergreen Road and Hwy. 64. EMS was called for the female who said that she had back pain. The bear ran off. The vehicle was towed.

Tuesday, April 24th

9:04 AM Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Dorr Street. A male subject was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property and a probation hold per the Milwaukee Department of Corrections. He was transported to jail.

2:34 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on Hi-Pines Road reporting that some items had been stolen from his truck. A 18-20’ logging chain and a Paslode gas framing nailing in an orange case, valued at $450, were taken. The male told officers that they may have been taken on Thursday night, April 19th from the back of his truck, while it was parked outside the front of his house. There were no suspects.

2:55 PM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident that occurred in the courthouse parking lot. Property damage only.

8:55 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 2nd Avenue. A female subject was arrested on a Langlade County warrant.
