Antigo, Wis. – CoVantage Credit Union was recently honored with a nationally acclaimed Diamond Award.

The award was presented to CoVantage by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council, a national network comprised of over 1,300 credit union professionals. Awards are given in each of 35 categories ranging from advertising to community events and beyond. CoVantage won in the Financial Literacy category for its entry, entitled FITMoney.

One of the components of CoVantage’s Credit Union’s mission is promoting financial wellness by regularly working with schools and communities in which members live. CoVantage has taken their mission a step further by introducing FITMoney, a financial literacy training series designed to teach basic financial concepts in a small or large group format.

“We are proud that CoVantage has been recognized for efforts to educate member-owners and the community on wise spending habits. The FITMoney program provides useful financial information developed by a team of CoVantage staff and the Marketing Department to assist with these endeavors,” said Charlie Zanayed, CEO of CoVantage Credit Union. “I am so thankful that our team of employees makes the communities we serve better through their efforts.”

CoVantage Credit Union’s FITMoney Program is free for organizations and businesses who want to provide financial wellness resources. CoVantage staff can present the materials or they can train in-house facilitators. For more information, call 715-627-4336.

CoVantage Credit Union, with headquarters in Antigo, Wisconsin, has $1.5 billion in assets, and serves over 100,000 members. Founded in 1953, the financial cooperative serves members living or working in 18 counties in Wisconsin and 3 counties in Michigan.
