Strong Bones is an ongoing strength training program designed to help adults become or stay fit, strong & healthy. Individuals will improve muscle strength, bone density, self-confidence, sleep and vitality. Langlade County Economic Development Corporation Strategic Planning Summit June 6th Langlade Co. Economic Development, 312 Forrest Ave., Antigo. Approximately 20 leaders are invited from our most concentrated industries & government. They will convene to share information for mutual awareness of the various entities economic development plans. The overall purpose of this summit is to align Langlade County Economic Development’s strategic plan to best support our community’s challenges & needs. After the summit, analysis of the shared inputs will direct our greatest mutual efforts & needs in the near-term. Langlade County Economic Development will coordinate a focused economic development effort into improving a single objective, or eliminating an obstacle, of great interest to many stakeholders. This will be a tool for aiding public understanding & support needed to achieve our goals, as the community at large will better understand Economic Development objectives and plans. This is just phase one of a three phase strategic plan approach. Ride for Research Dual Sport June 9th-10th Fairgrounds, 1800 Fairview Ave., Wabeno. The Ride for Research is a two-day dual sport motorcycle event. Dual sport is a type of motorcycle riding which is a mix of off road trails connected with the use of roads. Trails are used with permission and/or permits through the USFS, County forests, and private landowners. Trails range from 2 track, gravel, minimal pavement (as little as we can), and single track sections that are optional. The motorcycles are street legal motorcycles that are fully off road capable. The registration fee includes camping, meals, trail support, t-shirts and two days of great riding through the Northwoods in Wisconsin. Funds raised from raffles and proceeds go to various local charities in Forest County and surrounding counties.

Langlade County Community Ceramics, a non-profit painting group that meets every Monday and Friday from 9am-Noon at Sts. Mary & Hyacinth, Classroom 8, 819 3rd Ave., Antigo. Class cost is $3.00, to cover paint and anyone is welcome. We also take art-related field trips four times a year.
