Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 5/21/18

ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, May 7th
2:57 PM Officers responded to a call from North Elementary School requesting an officer for a student, in a brown Buick SUV parked in front of the school, hitting a parent. The male student was brought to the Safety Building by his mother where he was spoken to about the incident. He was then sent home with his mother.
6:29 PM Officers were out with a male subject at an area business on 5th Avenue. Officers arrested the male on a Langlade County Sheriff’s office warrant for failure to appear – child support related.
7:00 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting an accident at an establishment on 6th Avenue. Another female subject had backed in to the reporting female’s vehicle. Vehicle 1 was backing out of a parking space. Vehicle 2 was legally parked. Vehicle 1 backed into Vehicle 2. There were no injuries. An accident report was completed.
8:51 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a retail theft by two Native American male subjects. The subjects were described as in their early 20’s, wearing black hoodies. The caller told officers that they took off going eastbound on Hwy. 64 in a white Chevy Impala. A teletype was sent to the Menominee County Sheriff’s office with the information. The two male subjects were identified. Officers were working Menominee County officers on the case.
Tuesday, May 8th
12:12 AM Officers were out with two subjects at 7th Avenue and Milton Street. One male subject was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
7:57 AM Officers responded to a call from a female at Langlade Hospital reporting a two vehicle accident in front of the hospital. Vehicle 1 was backing southbound from a parking spot. Vehicle 2 was westbound in the lot. The driver of Vehicle 1 stated that he did not see Vehicle 2 while he was backing. Vehicle 1 struck Vehicle 2 in the passenger doors, causing damage. Vehicle 1 sustained damage to the driver’s side rear bumper. There were no injuries. An accident report was completed.
11:49 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting a two vehicle accident. A male subject from the business was backing up a vehicle that he was going to work on and backed out onto 9th Avenue, striking a vehicle driven by another male subject. Property damage only. An accident report was completed.
12:49 PM Officers responded to a call from North Elementary school reporting that they witnessed two teenage male subjects take a scooter from the parking lot. One male subject was wearing a red shirt and the other male was wearing a black or gray shirt. The subjects were last seen turning onto Arctic Street. The two male subjects were identified. Officers located the scooter at the residence of one of the male subjects. Both male subjects were cited for theft.
Wednesday, May 9th
8:58 AM Officers responded to a call from an Antigo High School teacher reporting that a blue van was following a group of lady bike riders and taking photos. The riders were currently at Lake Park heading towards an area business at Superior Street and 4th Avenue and the male subject was out of his vehicle, waiting at the intersection. Officers located the van at a residence on 2nd Avenue and spoke with a male subject who admitted to driving the van, but he denied taking any photos or talking with anyone. Officers talked with the teacher and a few of the riders who stated that the male subject was definitely taking photos. The male subject was warned about his behavior.
10:02 AM Officers were at a residence on Morse Street conducting a drug investigation. A female subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (felony), possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanor), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an illegally obtained prescription and a probation hold.
10:16 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road requesting an officers for some thefts. The business had video of a female subject going through the self-checkout several times in the last few weeks and only paying for about half of the items that she took. Officers cited the female subject for retail theft. The video was placed into evidence.
5:05 PM Officers arrested a male subject at a residence on 7th Avenue on a Department of Corrections felony warrant. He was transported to Corrections.
Thursday, May 10th
2:42 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that someone pushed out the screen on his apartment window on Ackley Street that day. Officers observed that the screen had been pried out. No entry had been gained. An extra patrol was requested.
Friday, May 11th
1:31 PM Officers responded to a call from North Elementary School requesting an officer for two male students that were out of control. One male student wanted to play on an iPad and the other student was dumping water on people. One student was calmed down and the other student was given a ride home.
3:31 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. Property damage only. The male driver of the second vehicle was cited for inattentive driving.
4:42 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 4th Avenue and Clermont Street. The male driver was referred for possession of meth.
7:46 PM Officers were out near a residence on Deleglise Street. A female subject was referred for possession of marijuana and obstructing an officer.
8:46 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that a female subject has stolen several items from a cooler, approximately one hour earlier. Officers arrested the female subject a residence on Dorr Street. She was transported to Corrections.
9:16 PM Officers responded to an anonymous report of a male subject, approximately 50 years old, “making out” with a juvenile female subject at a residence on Weed Street. The male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing/resisting arrest.
Saturday, May 12th
12:46 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on 6th Avenue. The male subject was arrested for operating while intoxicated and operating without a license.
12:35 PM Officers were at a residence on Freiburger Avenue conducting a drug investigation. Officers arrested a male subject for possession of meth, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
2:55 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he had backed into another vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road.
3:07 PM Officers were at a residence on S. Clermont Street. Officers arrested a male subject on a Langlade County Sheriff’s office warrant for failure to appear on charges of felony bail jumping, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor bail jumping and disorderly conduct.
Sunday, May 13th
11:52 AM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Superior Street and 8th Avenue. Property damage only.
Monday, May 14th
10:58 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she found a pill bottle with something in it on the ground at Castle Park. Officers picked up the item. It contained a small amount of marijuana. It was placed into evidence.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Wednesday, May 9th
2:21 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she just hit a car that pulled out from Cty. Rd. K onto Hwy. 45. Both lanes of traffic had some blockage. The caller told officers that she was not injured, but the other driver was groggy and needed to be checked on. One vehicle was towed.
6:12 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that on that afternoon two men came to her mother’s residence on Cty. Rd. X and wanted to come inside to talk about cancer insurance. They were very pushy and seemed like they wanted to get inside the house. One male subject was described as short and stocky and the other male subject was taller. Their vehicle was blue in color, but the caller told officers that they were unable to get the license plate number.
Thursday, May 10th
4:01 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting an accident at Cty. Rd. V and Cty. Rd. B. The caller told officers that a young female subject was in the back seat with a scrape to her knee and ripped jeans. The female driver was cited for inattentive driving.
4:42 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business reporting that one of their employees was in an accident at Cty. Rd. HH and Hwy. 64. Property damage only. The male driver of one of the vehicles was cited for passing in an intersection.
Friday, May 11th
2:44 AM Officers responded to a call from a male on Hwy. 45 reporting an explosion at Cty. Rd. C and Hwy. 45. When officers arrived, they found that a vehicle had struck a guard rail on the west side of the road. The male driver from Eagle River told officers that he had swerved to miss a deer, struck the guard rail and an address sign. The male subject was given a 10 day correction warning to bring in proof of insurance. The Highway Department was notified of the damage to the guard rail. A state crash report was completed.
9:54 AM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Hwy. 45, north of Hwy. 47. There were no apparent injuries at the time of the call, but an ambulance was paged after the officers’ arrival. A road sign was damaged. The Highway Department was notified.
10:27 AM Officers were out with a male subject at Lincoln Street and 7th Avenue. The male subject was arrested on 2 Langlade County Sheriff’s office warrants.
11:25 AM Officers responded to a call from a male on Cty. Rd. C reporting that someone stole some items out of his shed that morning. The male told officers that the theft must have occurred between 7:15 AM and 11:00 AM. He was missing two chain saws and miscellaneous saws.
Saturday, May 12th
9:53 PM Officers responded to an anonymous tip of an underage drinking party at a residence on Cty. Rd. B. Upon arrival, officers could see numerous subjects inside the residence, but only 3 subjects including a male resident came to the door. The male subject first said that no one else was inside. Officers told him that they needed to speak to anyone that was underage in the residence. He refused and was detained. Two subjects attempted to hide in a closet. Upon further searching, numerous individuals were located by officers. The male resident was cited for permitting underage drinking. One female and one male subject were cited for underage drinking, 2nd offense. Another female subject and another male subject were cited for underage drinking, 1st offense.
Sunday, May 13th
9:48 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male stating that he had come upon a male subject lying in the roadway on Sunset Road by Bishop Lane. The male subject was trapped underneath an ATV with a leg injury.
Monday, May 14th
7:06 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on Hwy. 55 calling to ask if there was an outstanding warrant for a specific male subject. He stated that this male subject was in his yard, drunk and yelling. The male subject had four warrants, one with the Langlade County Sheriff’s office, two with the Merrill Police Department and one with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office. He was also on probation. Prior to the deputies’ arrival, the male subject ran from the residence into a field. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the subject.
Wednesday, May 16th
9:13 AM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. J.
