Join Steve and Darlene Eckerman in the McGinley Room at the Antigo Public Library on Tuesday, June 5 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. as they talk about their 2018 World Champion "Lacey Lamb" Sheep Cheese and their 10-day tour exploring the ancient cheese-making traditions of the Basque Country in the French Pyrenees and the coast of northern Spain, where they toured six Basque Country cheese factories, including descending into the cheese caves at Sotres de Cabrales, visited a Txakoli winery, toured the scenic Picos de Europa mountains and the Asturias Coast, stayed in boutique hotels, and spent two whole days exploring ancient cathedrals and the food culture of San Sebastian, the most popular foodie city in the world. Eckerman sheep cheese will be available for sampling and purchase at the event, which is sponsored by the Antigo Public Library Foundation.
