For the Antigo Times

The “Music in the Park” series will be having an “Amateur Antigo Talent Night” on Thursday, Aug. 23, at City Park with The Antigo Community Theatre organizing the event. This show is open to all ages and ACT is hoping to have a variety of acts, including vocalists, dancers, comedians, instrumentalist, jugglers, etc. Anyone interested in trying out should email: actantigo@gmail.com or contact Moira Scupien with a call or text at 715-350-1683 by Monday, Aug. 6. ACT will then up an audition time with the participants.

There are some guidelines that will need to be followed such as no act will be longer than four minutes, no group larger than eight as well as no lip syncing or karaoke. For more details and restrictions, the guidelines can be picked up at the Antigo Public Library, the Antigo Park and Recreation office, or at any of the Music in the Park concerts, held in the evenings at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays at City Park, by the pie and ice cream pavilion and donation box. It can also be found online at: antigo-city.org/rec 1; click on the Music, Arts and Culture link.

The “Amateur Antigo Talent Night” will be one of the final performances for the summer concert series of Music in the Park. The concert is sponsored by Antigo Dental Clinic and LA Arts will provide roast beef sandwiches, beverages, pies and custard and The Antigo Optimists will have their famous cheese curds.
