Charlotte Heinrich, 101

Charlotte Heinrich, a longtime Antigo resident, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, in Wausau. She was 101 years old. She was born on February 14, 1917, in Roosevelt, Shawano County, a daughter of Frank and Mary (Ebert) Meyer. She married Orrin Heinrich on May 31, 1941, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2003.

As a young lady she worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory in Antigo. She raised her family in the town of Rolling and assisted her husband in the operation of their mink ranch.

Charlotte enjoyed sewing, gardening and making fur hats. She took joy in spending time with her family, relatives and friends.

She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Antigo and its Altar Society.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ann (Michael) Lynch of Deerbrook, Dorothy (Bruce) Olson of Plover, Deborah (Gary) Scharping of Wausau; three sons, John (Jean Adams) Heinrich of Antigo, Michael (Pam ) Heinrich of Antigo, Joseph (Jane) Heinrich of Seattle, Washington; a son-in-law, John Jansen of Glendale; a brother, Herbert (Mary) Meyer of Antigo; nine grandchildren, John Heinrich, Kari (Diana Benitez) Heinrich, Amy (Alan Salas) Heinrich, Karen Lynch, Andrea Olson, Emily (Eric) Krug, Natalie (Ian) Olson-Clowes, Lyn (Jonathon) Wiebe, Lesly (James) Aurand; eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Florence Schumitsch and Lucy Meyer both of Antigo.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lucy Jansen; a sister, Blanche (Ted) Wyrwas; six brothers, Omer (Elaine) Meyer, Ruben (Sophie) Meyer, Mello (Margaret) Meyer, Francis (Joyce) Meyer, John Meyer, and Joseph Meyer in infancy.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Mausoleum.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the church in Hoffmann Hall.
In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to St. John Catholic Church.
