We are thankful to the Ho-Chunk Nation for providing an updated facility with enhanced amenities. We look forward to providing greater service by offering an improved gaming experience for our Guests!”

The first phase of Project Forward in Wittenberg is near completion. The Porte Cochere, “a covered entrance large enough for vehicles to pass through,” was expected to be completed by the end of June, 2018. Since the Ground-Breaking Ceremony held on September 21, 2016, Project Forward has contributed in a positive manner to the local development and growth in the Town of Wittenberg. The major expansion has benefited in aiding the economy and promoting tourism throughout Wittenberg and Shawano County; as well as creating nearly 80 employment opportunities.

The 33-million-dollar renovation of Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg consists of a stylish new 86-room, 5-story hotel; the 80-seat, 3 meal restaurant named The River’s Edge, a renovated Forest Edge Snack Bar, 2 full services bars, Non-Smoking and High Stakes Game Rooms and an expanded gaming floor offering the hottest games in the area. Everything you already love about Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg is now even better!

On July 11, 2018, the Grand Opening Celebration kicked off at 3:00 p.m. where guests went from “bags” to riches with a Mystery Bag Giveaway. The first 600 Guests received a GUARANTEED prize of Rewards Play or a chance to win from $100.00 to $5,000 CASH! The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held under the Porte Cochere at 5:00 p.m. in the presence of Ho-Chunk Tribal Members, dignitaries, Chamber Ambassadors and Guests from near and far. Following the Ribbon Cutting, complimentary refreshments, including Champagne, and a lite bite were served.

The drawing barrel was rolled out and exclusive drawings took place from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 p.m. Once the sky transformed to dusk, Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg in partnership with Fireworks Country presented a flamboyant fireworks display.
