Joan Lenzner, 85

Joan (Zwirschitz) Lenzner, age 85, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Homme Home of Wittenberg.
Joanie was born May 21, 1933 in the Town of Rolling to the late Louis and Lena Zwirschitz. She married Russell Lenzner September 24, 1955. He preceded her in death March 16, 2003.
Joanie went to grade school in Aniwa, and graduated from Antigo High School in 1951. After graduation, she worked at Winkelman’s Store in Wausau. Shen then worked at Woolworth’s and Montgomery Ward in Antigo. After raising her children, she worked at Kautza IGA, Louis Red Owl, Pick ‘n Save, then retired from Copp’s.
She enjoyed life, and was an exceptional caregiver to her husband, parents, and daughter in law, Jane. Joanie lived her life doing what she wanted. She especially enjoyed spending time with her twin grandsons, Mike and Mark. She loved the USA, and always had her home decorated with red, white, and blue for the patriotic holidays. Joanie bowled for many years at Chet and Emil’s.
She is survived by her son Terry (Jane) Lenzner of Aniwa; daughter Tammy (Jamie) Lenzner; her two grandsons whom she loved dearly, Mike and Mark Gervais; a son in law, Fred Gervais of Antigo; 2 sisters, Jeanne (Art) Strasser of Antigo, and Shirley Perkins of West Allis; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; mother and father in law; and sisters and brothers in law.
A visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until noon on Sunday, July 22nd at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with a time of sharing at noon.
