Venita Ardelle Karcz, 77

Venita ‘Vee’ A. Karcz, 77 of Bowler, died on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Homme Home of Wittenberg surrounded by her family and under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Vee was born on June 28, 1941 in Marble, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Walter and Linda (Tuorila) Piekkola. On November 30, 1957, Ve was united in marriage to Donald Karcz in Marble, Minnesota. He survives.
Vee was an Air Force wife which meant living in all parts of the US and world for over 20 years.
The couple owned Karcz Home Sales in Aniwa for 35 years as well as Melody Mill in Aniwa. For the past 25 years, they owned and operated V’s Star Campsite in Bowler.
Vee loved to travel and was a people person. She helped many people throughout her life. She was an excellent cook and loved to do so.
Vee was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan. The family invites all those attending to wear apparel representing the teams she loved.
Vee is survived by her husband, Donald of Bowler and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Donna (Tom Lex) Karcz of Bowler and her children, Joey (Keleigh) Baretincic and their children Anna and Jackson, and Andrea (Chris) Morzinski and their children Clara and Clayton, Cindy (Jerry) Geiss of Merrill and her children, Stephan Miller and Alex (Kim) Miller, Rodney (Shelly) Karcz of Birnamwood and their children, Matthew Karcz and his son Jayden, and Adam (Kaylin) Karcz, the late Gary Karcz’s daughter Amanda (fiancé Mark Hein) Likewise and her son Donaven, Mike (Connie) Karcz of Birnamwood and their daughter Jennifer Quinn Hegewald and her children, Kaden and Kennlie and Bonnie (Bradley) Resch of Birnamwood and their children, Brooks, Braydin, Brogan and Braxton Resch; siblings, Carolyn Bernu of New York Mills, MN, Nancy Satterfield of Nashville, TN, Gerald ‘Sonny’ (Judy) Piekkola of Marble, MN and Janice Putnam of Becker, Minnesota and many other relatives and friends.
Ve was preceded in death by her son, Gary; parents, a brother, Dennis Piekkola, a sister Delores Chenevert and a son-in-law, Gordy Miller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood. Fr. Charles Hoffmann will officiate. Interment will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Aniwa. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of mass at the church.
The family would like to invite anyone that was a friend of Vee’s to V’s Star Campsite, N9126 Cty Rd D, Bowler, on Saturday at 1pm for a gathering to celebrate Vee’s life.
