ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS

Tuesday, August 21^st

6:04 PM Officers received a call from the emergency room of the Langlade Hospital reporting that a female on Lincoln Street was bitten by a bat. The bat was contained and the female victim had contacted the Department of Natural Resources about it.

Thursday, August 23^rd

2:02 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5^th Avenue and Superior Street. The female driver was cited for operating while intoxicated (prescription drugs), 1^st offense and was given a written warning for an expired registration and illegal license plates.

11:31 AM Officers responded to a report of a minor accident in the parking lot of the Aspirus Antigo Clinic on 5^th Avenue. Vehicle 2 was legally parked in the lot facing westbound. Vehicle 1 was backing out of a parking spot in front of Vehicle 2. The female driver of Vehicle 1 stated that she backed out and didn’t see Vehicle 2. Vehicle 1 struck Vehicle 2 in the driver’s side front bumper causing minor damage. Vehicle 1 sustained minor damage to the passenger side rear bumper. There were no injuries.

4:52 PM Officers responded to report that a medical van parked on 5^th Avenue needed assistance with a patient. The medical van driver was transporting a female patient from the New London hospital to a nursing home facility in Antigo. The male driver had stopped the van because the female patient was pulling on the steering wheel and opening the door, trying to escape.  An officer rode along in the van with the driver and patient to the facility. Once there, the staff would not take her because the female was refusing. After some discussion, it was decided that the patient’s female care taker would drive her back to the hospital in New London.

7:55 PM Officers responded to a report of a possible break in at an address on Charlotte Court, near the garage. The caller told officers that a vehicle was parked there and a male subject and a female subject were going through a garage. Officers located the male subject in the garage. He told officers that he lived in one of the apartments with two other subjects. Officers thought that the male was acting very strange and nervous. Officers could not get anyone to answer the door at the apartment and the male subject would not let them in.

10:36 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he had been assaulted at an apartment building on S. Superior Street. Officers found out that two male subjects had exchanged punches over revving engines and borrowed money. A third male subject later arrived and “got into it” with one of the other male subjects. The three male subjects were referred for disorderly conduct.

Friday, August 24^th

9:12 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he had struck a pole in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. The light pole was knocked over and across the lot. Cones were set up and the vehicle was towed.

7:33 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female on Forrest Avenue reporting that her friend was in and out of consciousness. The caller said that the female subject had taken her prescribed pain medications and had also been drinking. While assisting the Antigo Fire Department, officers observed a pipe, in plain view, on a kitchen table. The female subject also turned over a small amount of marijuana. She was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

 Saturday, August 25^th

5:59 PM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting that a 1 ½ year old boy had been found on 5^th Avenue. He was described as wearing a gray tank top with a monster truck on it. Shortly later, a second 911 call was received from a female reporting that a two year boy was missing from a residence on Deresch Street. Officers found out that two boys, a 3 year old and the 1 ½ year old were in a fenced back yard, had opened the gate and gotten out. The 1 ½ year old boy was found a ½ block away. Officers advised the children’s great grandparents to be with the young children at all times.

Sunday, August 26^th

4:05 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Forrest Avenue and Superior Street. There were no injuries. One vehicle was towed.

LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS

Wednesday, August 22^nd

 2:57 PM Officers were at a residence on W. Bear Lake Road. A male subject was arrested for possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, a Schedule IV prescription drug and a probation hold.

Thursday, August 23^rd

11:27 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 47 and Trout Road. The female driver was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear – retail theft. A female passenger was arrested on a Shawano County Sheriff’s Office warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.

 Saturday, August 25^th

7:41 PM Officers responded to a report of a possible intoxicated driver, headed westbound on Hwy. 64 from Cty. Rd. S. The caller told officers that the vehicle was swerving, hitting the centerline and driving westbound in the eastbound lane causing others to swerve. Officers stopped the vehicle at an area business on Hwy. 64. The 38 year old male subject was transported to the Safety Building.

11:40 PM Officers responded to a report of a possible intoxicated driver in a blue passenger car with an American flag on the back. The caller told officers that the vehicle was speeding and swerving. Officers pulled the vehicle over on S. Superior Street. The male driver refused a preliminary breath test. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

Monday, August 27^th

9:32 PM Officers responded to multiple 911 open line calls from a disconnected phone number. During the phone calls, a child could be heard and many people. Dispatch was unable to decipher if it was an emergency or not, so units were dispatched. A female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct. A male subject was referred for obstructing.
