Thomas Imoehl, 87
Thomas Imoehl, of White Lake, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at home. He was 87 years old. He was born on September 17, 1930, in White Lake, a son of August and Clara Imoehl. He married Lorraine Charboneau on October 13, 1951, at St. Galls Catholic Church in Milwaukee. She survives.
He graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee with the class of 1948.
Tom served in the United States Army from October 1951 to September 1953 having been stationed in Germany during the Korean War.
In June of 1954 he began a long career with the city of Milwaukee fire department retiring in September 1984. He moved to White Lake after retirement.
Tom served on the White Lake volunteer fire department and was a member of the Anderson-Sather American Legion Post #524- White Lake and St. James and Stanislaus Catholic Parish.
He was an avid outdoorsman and valued time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors including his wife are two daughters, Janis (Dennis) Gill, Eagle River, Joan (Ken) Lindgren, Mosinee; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Mary) Imoehl, Hartland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Michael James Imoehl; a brother, John Imoehl.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 17, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, White Lake with Rev. Edmundo Siguenza officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery where the White Lake veterans will conduct military honors.
Visitation will be Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for the benefit of the Troutland Rescue Squad, memorials may be directed to the family.
