ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS

Monday, August 27^th

2:46 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on Deleglise Street reporting that his flag pole was damaged. Officers saw that part of the pole was gone. The perps had also cut out the picture on the POW/MIA flag. There were no suspects.

Tuesday, August 28^th

9:11 AM Officers responded to a call from an employee of an area business on Superior Street reporting that there was something green in baggies in their garbage can. Officer found seven bags of cut up alfalfa that had been thrown out. The business was unsure who had thrown them out or why they would have thrown them out there.

10:08 AM Officers responded to a report of a one vehicle accident in the northwest corner of the parking lot of an area business on Jerome Street. The vehicle was towed.

6:01 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting a one vehicle rollover at 10^th Avenue and Elm Street. The caller said that the vehicle was flipped over and there were 4 or 5 boys walking westbound on 10^th Avenue. The Antigo Fire Department responded, but no transport was needed. The vehicle was towed.

7:29 PM Officers responded to an anonymous complaint of a strange acting male subject at an area apartment building on Lincoln Street. The reporting person stated that the male subject had been getting picked up and dropped off there all day. He had been seen walking in circles and walking crooked. The subject was described as wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, was in his 30’s or 40’s, had dark hair and was wearing a backpack. Officers found the male subject at Pine Street and McMillan Avenue. The male subject was arrested on an Oneida County Sheriff’s Office warrant.

11:09 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Edison Street and Willard Avenue. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated – drug related. He was also cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Wednesday, August 29^th

12:31 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Smith Avenue reporting that someone was trying to get into her house. She believed that he was in her house. She told officers that she was locked in a bedroom. Officers located the male subject. He told officers that he was asking for a gas can as his car was out of gas. He had gone up to the female’s house to see if he could use her gas can, but she didn’t answer the door.

Thursday, August 30^th

4:36 PM Officers were at an area business on Hwy. 64 regarding a retail theft that occurred on 8/26/18. Officers viewed video surveillance and were able to identify a female subject from Wittenberg. The female subject was cited for retail theft.

Friday, August 31^st

11:31 AM Officers were at a residence on 10^th Avenue on a warrant attempt. A male subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant.

8:06 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10^th Avenue and Superior Street. The 24 year old male driver was issued a 5 day correction notice for an inadequate muffler. The male told officers that he was not putting a muffler on his truck. He told officers that he would just pay for the tickets.

10:13 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and Graham Avenue. Officers were given consent to search the vehicle. The male driver was arrested for possession of prescription medication. He was also given a written warning for a defective head light.

 Saturday, September 1^st

8:42 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that they were just in an accident at 7^th Avenue and Superior Street. The female told officers that her husband’s arm was bleeding. The female driver of the other vehicle was cited.

7:42 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a possible drunk driver. The caller said that the vehicle was hitting the curbs and swerving all over. The vehicle was described as a blue Impala. The caller gave officers the license number. Officers stopped the vehicle at E. 9^th Avenue and Fischer Street. The female driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1^st offense and was cited for open intoxicants.

8:04 PM Officers were out at an address on Clermont Street for a minor crash. One vehicle backed into another vehicle. There were no injuries. The striking female driver was cited for operating after revocation – operating while intoxicated related.

Sunday, September 2^nd

7:07 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting a gas drive off of $32.71. The caller did not know if the subject had intentionally not paid. The vehicle was described as a dark colored truck that left northbound on Superior Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS

Wednesday, August 29^th

 6:00 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on Kielcheski Road reporting a vehicle parked in the middle of the road. Officers found the vehicle in the roadway. The vehicle had struck a tree and suffered major damage. There was blood inside the vehicle. South of where the vehicle was, there was a cabin with a light on. Officers saw a bloody hand print on the door frame. After knocking, a male subject approached from inside. The male said that he owned the vehicle in the road. He said that at approximately 8:00 PM the night before, he was driving to his parent’s cabin, lost control of the vehicle and hit the tree. He told officers that he had no cell reception and he didn’t know any of the neighbors so that was why he hadn’t called to report the accident. He told officers that he didn’t think that leaving his car was a “big deal.” The 27 year old male subject was cited for driving too fast for conditions, failure to report a crash and driving left of center.

9:05 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 64 and Darinski Road. The male driver was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant and a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant. He was also cited for operating while suspended and was given verbal warnings for defective tail lights and having no insurance. He was transported to Corrections.

Saturday, September 1^st

3:38 PM Officers were at a rollover accident at Hwy. 64 and Cty. Rd. S. One vehicle was towed.

Sunday, September 2^nd

7:32 AM Officers responded to an anonymous report of a green Subaru, backwards, in the north ditch on Cty. Rd. K about 2 miles west of Post Lake. The caller told officers that no one was around the vehicle and it did not strike any trees. Officers found the vehicle abandoned on Cty. Rd. K. There were numerous cans of beer in the vehicle. Officers noticed that one beer was open. Officers spoke with the registered owner of the vehicle on the phone. The male subject told officers that he had been at the Crandon Brush Run the night before and he had last seen his vehicle at 4:30 PM that day. He thought that someone had stolen the vehicle. He said that he had walked from Crandon to Summit Lake and then he was picked up in Summit Lake by his father between 7 and 7:30 AM that morning. Officers then talked to the male’s father who said that his son had told him that his car broke down somewhere on Cty Rd. K. The male subject still insisted that he had walked to Summit Lake from Crandon. Officers pointed out to the male that he should have walked right past his car then. He said that his car may not have been wrecked at the time he walked by.

Monday, September 3^rd

2:02 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on Cty. Rd. A between Cty. Rd. O and Cty. Rd. V. The caller told officers that the vehicles were off the roadway and no one was injured. Vehicle 1 was traveling north on Cty. Rd. A. The male driver of the vehicle told officers that he had used his left turn signal and then proceeded to pull into a driveway. Vehicle 2 was traveling behind Vehicle 1. The male driver of Vehicle 2 told officers that he had seen brake lights on Vehicle 1, but not a turn signal. He thought that Vehicle 1 was stopping at a mailbox, so he had proceeded to pass Vehicle 1. Vehicle 1 made a left turn and the vehicles collided. The drivers of the two vehicles had differing stories.

4:59 PM Officers responded to an anonymous report of a female subject with 7 outstanding warrants at a residence on Sunset Road. Officers were given consent to search the residence. The female subject was found hiding in the northwest corner of an upstairs attic area, under a blanket, behind some old televisions. She was arrested.

Tuesday, September 4^th

8:54 AM A male subject came to the Safety Building to report that his boat had been stolen sometime within the last three weeks from an area on Park Road. The male told officers that the boat had been anchored on the lake, out of view, with two canoes that were not taken. The boat was a Silver 14’ Mirro silver aluminum V-hull boat with a non-reflective inside. The oars and anchors were also taken.
