ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS

Monday, September 3^rd

6:52 AM Officers received a call from a male on Virginia Street reporting that the night before, between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM, $60 in cash, a pack of cigarettes and a handful of change were stolen from his unlocked vehicle in the driveway. Officers were advised.

11:16 PM Officers responded to an anonymous report of two subjects having intercourse by the boardwalk in the back picnic area by the shelter on Hudson Street. Officers found the male and female subjects. They initially stated that they were just kissing, they then admitted to having intercourse. Officers told them to move along.

Tuesday, September 4^th

9:34 AM A male subject came to the Safety Building to report that some items had been stolen from his garage on Virginia Street. The stolen items included two battery chargers, a set of wrenches and a Dremel tool. The garage had been unlocked. The value of the stolen items was about $200. There were no suspects.

8:26 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male making a traffic complaint about a red Jeep that had crossed the centerline and fog line multiple times. The caller told officers that he had been following the vehicle from Mapleview Road. He gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle at Superior Street and 8^th Avenue. The female driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1^st offense.

Wednesday, September 5^th

4:59 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a two vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Langlade Hospital. The caller told officers that she had backed into another vehicle. There was damage to the hatch of the vehicle and the passenger side rear bumper.

6:05 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that at 1:00 PM that day, she had been walking backwards, pretending that she was walking on a tight rope, on Superior Street near 2^nd Avenue, when a vehicle bumped into her. The only information that the female had about the vehicle was that it was white in color. The vehicle had left without saying anything to her. She told officers that she now had a sore hip and head. She denied needing an ambulance. She told officers that she didn’t realize that she had to call the police to report the accident.

Thursday, September 6^th

8:08 AM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident on 5^th Avenue at the main entrance to the Langlade Hospital. Vehicle 1 was northbound on 5^th Avenue and stopped, waiting to make a left turn into the parking lot. Vehicle 2 was also northbound on 5^th Avenue. The female driver of Vehicle 2 stated to officers that she looked off the road for a second and then saw Vehicle 1 stopped, but could not stop in time and hit Vehicle 1 in the rear. Property damage only.

12:52 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on 6^th Avenue reporting that they had received a counterfeit $50 bill. They told officers that they knew the male subject who had given it to them. Officers were investigating.

2:27 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting that an outside donation box had been stolen from their drive thru sometime between 9/4/18 and 9/6/18. The business told officers that they thought that there was between $20 and $40 in the box.

11:14 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Willard Avenue. The female driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated. She was transported to Langlade Hospital for drug evaluation and then transported to Corrections. The female subject was also cited for speed.

Saturday, September 8^th

3:00 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she had received a “frantic” call from her daughter’s boyfriend stating that he had flipped his vehicle near some construction, somewhere on Field Street. Officers were out with the vehicle at 8^th Avenue and Field Street. The male driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic sign and having no insurance. The vehicle was towed.

11:59 PM Officers were doing a walk thru at an area business on 5^th Avenue. A male subject was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. A second male subject was cited for open intoxicants off premises.

Sunday, September 9^th

2:21 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10^th Avenue and Sunset Drive. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 6^th offense and operating after revocation – operating while intoxicated related. He was cited for speed and failure to show proof of insurance. He was also referred for battery threat to law enforcement. He stated to officers that if he had a gun, he would try to shoot them for not loosening his handcuffs, which had been checked for proper fit.

7:33 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that his parked car was struck while parked on the roadway on 3^rd Avenue. The female driver of the striking vehicle was referred for operating after revocation and for not installing an ignition interlock device.

3:46 PM Officers responded to several reports of a male subject lying in the parking lot near an area business on 5^th Avenue. The male was described as wearing a striped shirt and having gray hair. The last caller told officers that the male subject was bleeding. The 62 year old male subject appeared to be having medical issues.

11:33 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5^th Avenue and Deleglise Street. A female subject was arrested on a Marathon County Sheriff’s Office warrant. She was transported to Corrections.

LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS

Wednesday, September 5^th

 3:07 PM Officers responded to a call from the Elcho School requesting an officer for a 1^st grade male student who was being unruly. Upon officer’s arrival, multiple staff members had the student surrounded. He was completely inconsolable and out of control. The principal advised officers that the staff had been trying to calm him down for close to an hour. He had destroyed a classroom and had attacked staff members. Eventually the student was calmed down and was given a ride home by officers.

8:48 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he hit a cow on Hattes Lane. He told officers that he did not need an ambulance and there was no road blockage. He said that the cow flew into the ditch and was dead. The cow’s owner removed the animal.

Thursday, September 6^th

4:53 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Enterprise Lake Road. The male driver was arrested on an Oneida County Sheriff’s Office warrant. He was also warned for operating while suspended and was cited for operating with a suspended registration.

8:47 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting that he was in a one vehicle crash on Cty. Rd. T. The caller told officers that he had swerved to miss a deer on a moped with another female passenger. The caller and the female passenger were both injured, but conscious. An ambulance was called to treat the two subjects.

Friday, September 7^th

8:56 AM Officers responded to a call from the State Patrol requesting assistance at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. X. Officers had made a traffic stop, when the male driver became disorderly and exited the vehicle. The male subject was then detained and arrested.

10:04 AM Officers responded to a call from the owner of an area business on Cty. Rd. A, reporting that a subject was punched in the early morning of 9/3/18 at the business. He had been advised of the incident that day, but had been gone. The caller told officers that he had viewed video of the incident since he returned. Officers tried to contact the male subject that was injured. The male subject from Colgate, WI called officers back and stated that he was punched on 9/3/18, but didn’t want anything done at that time. But his face was continuing to hurt, so he now wanted to pursue charges. Officers sent a teletype to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to take the male’s statement and photos of the injuries. As of 9/9, officers had not received a statement from the victim. On 9/9/18 at 5:28 PM Officers received a call from the male victim’s girlfriend saying that the victim had not given a statement yet, because he ended up needing surgery for a broken bone in his face, so now he could not talk.

 Saturday, September 8^th

2:37 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Maple Road and Cty. Rd. D. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 2^nd offense.

7:12 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that shots had been coming from a residence to the east of his on Wilson Road since 8:30 AM that morning, according to his babysitter. He told officers that he was now home and could hear several semi-automatic shots being fired and heard a few shots whizz by. Officers spoke with the individuals at the other residence. They were target practicing into a large burm/hill, making it appear safe. Officers went back to talk to the caller. They then observed several tree branches get struck by ricocheting bullets and heard projectiles whizz by in rather close proximity to the house. Officers returned to the other residence and advised them of the unsafe conditions.

 Tuesday, September 11^th

8:40 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Forrest Avenue and Dorr Street. The female driver was arrested for possession of meth, misdemeanor bail jumping and a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant. She was also cited for operating without a license. A second female subject was arrested for possession of meth and felony bail jumping. A male subject was arrested for possession of meth and a probation hold. A second male subject was arrested on a probation hold, possession of meth and misdemeanor bail jumping.
