Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 9/24/18

ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, September 10th
9:12 AM Officers responded to a report of an accident in the parking lot of the Aspiris Clinic parking lot on E. 5th Avenue. Witnesses reported to officers that a male subject on his motorized wheelchair struck a parked van in the lot doing damage. The owner of the van was not around and the male subject left in his vehicle. Officers made contact with the male subject. He admitted to officers that he had hit the van when he was backing out of the spot next to it.
9:41 AM Officers received a call from a female on Lincoln Street reporting that her son’s 26” men’s black Roadmaster bike was stolen from near their porch the night before. The caller told officers that there was a bike lock on the handlebars. The bike was valued at $89.00.
Tuesday, September 11th
12:28 PM Officers responded to a report that a semi hit a phone or cable line in front of the Safety Building on 2nd Avenue. A phone line secure bolt was taken off from a residence on Clermont Street. The line was tied up to open up 2nd Avenue.
3:15 PM Officers were at a residence on 1st Avenue. A male subject was arrested for possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and a felon in possession of a firearm. A female subject was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dispatch ran a check on the Savage Mark II 22 that the male subject had in his possession. The rifle came back as stolen from Marathon County.
Wednesday, September 12th
10:51 PM Officers received multiple 911 hang up calls. Upon call back, a male subject requested that officers come to a residence on S. Clermont Street because he was just in a fight with another male subject. The male said that the second male subject had left, but he was throwing furniture and things at him after a conversation about the male moving out. The male also said that the second male subject was intoxicated and went to a residence on Freiburger Avenue. Officers went to the residence and arrested the second male subject for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Thursday, September 13th
12:41 AM Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on S. Clermont Street. A male subject was arrested for possession of meth, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
7:50 AM Officers responded to a call from North Elementary reporting that a juvenile male student had taken off from the school and a teacher was with him near Fulton Street and 1st Avenue. The nine year old was escorted back to school. He was upset that he could not take an action figure with him to school that day.
1:02 PM Officers received a call from the West Elementary principal reporting that they had received a phone call in regard to a silver van hanging out by the skate park and the library after school. The male driver of the van was asking children if they wanted to come and pet his kitten. The van was described as silver in color with a dent in the front. The vehicle had been seen often after school. Officers were advised and would attempt to locate the van in the areas mentioned.
3:47 PM Officers were in a foot chase with a male subject at 4th Avenue and Clermont Street. The male was described as wearing gray sweats, had a backpack and a hat on backwards. The male subject was wanted on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant. The male subject was referred for obstructing/resisting arrest.
4:04 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that her 2008 black Ford Explorer was stolen from her residence on Charlotte Court. She told officers that the vehicle was last seen on 9/9/18 in the parking lot of her apartment building. She said that she was out of town, but family members told her that her vehicle was not in the lot. The vehicle was located at an area salvage yard. Officers found out that the landlord had the vehicle towed. Officers notified the female subject where the vehicle was located.
Friday, September 14th
12:52 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64.
3:29 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that someone backed into her vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64 by the main entrance.
7:36 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and Birch Street. A male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana, 2nd offense and felony bail jumping. A second male subject was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of Schedule I narcotics and possession of marijuana, 2nd offense.
11:34 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at an area business on Superior Street. The male driver was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Corrections. A male passenger was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Saturday, September 15th
4:44 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting that a female shoplifter was leaving the parking lot driving a dark colored SUV. The caller told officers that an employee had watched the female take boxes, that she said were for moving and were empty, out to her vehicle. The female subject then unloaded items out of the boxes. The female was described as having blonde hair and being about 6’0”. The 59 year old female subject was arrested for retail theft.
6:08 PM Officers responded to a 911 call requesting an ambulance meet them at a residence on Dorr Street for a male subject who was acting strange and almost passing out. The male subject was transported by ambulance to Langlade Hospital. The male driver who met officers at the residence was arrested for operating while intoxicated and was transported to Corrections.
10:36 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on 8th Avenue reporting an attempted break in to his vehicle. The caller observed two male subjects trying to pry the vehicle door open. One male subject was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The other male subject was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt. They were last seen heading southbound on Clermont Street on foot. A male subject was stopped by officers. He was arrested for possession of marijuana, felony bail jumping and possession of a controlled substance.
Sunday, September 16th
12:03 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident in the drive thru of an area business on Neva Road. Property damage only.
Monday, September 17th
3:10 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that her son’s Nintendo DS Galaxy, lime green in color, a phone charger and some games were stolen from Castle Park last week, Wednesday.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Thursday, September 13th
7:47 AM Officers responded to a call a female reporting that she found a bag of drug paraphernalia by an area business at Hwy. 55 and Hwy. 64. Officers collected the bag and logged it into evidence.
9:03 AM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Hwy. 64 and Grudgeville Road. The male driver of one vehicle was cited for inattentive driving.
12:18 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he was involved in a two vehicle accident on the corner of Cty. Rd. A and Cty. Rd. V. The caller said that there were no injuries, but there was lane blockage. Property damage only. Both vehicles were towed.
Friday, September 14th
7:50 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a one vehicle rollover accident on Hwy. 55, south of Sawyer Lake Road. The male driver of the vehicle had gone onto the gravel and overcorrected twice, causing him to hit the guard rail and roll over. There were no injuries.
Saturday, September 15th
7:59 PM Officers received a call from a male subject from St. Paul, Minnesota reporting that his laptop was stolen from his car when he was visiting Pickerel on September 13th. He gave officers the names of two businesses where he had stopped that day. He believed that the laptop was stolen at one of these locations. The laptop was described as a silver Apple in a tan case that had been in the back seat his vehicle. The businesses were going to check their cameras.
Sunday, September 16th
1:54 PM Officer responded to a call from a male reporting that he and his girlfriend had a two horse trailer and a truck containing six saddles stored at a relative’s house on Summit Lake Road. The caller told officers that all of the saddles were gone as well as four trail cameras that were in the locked truck. Numerous other items were missing from the horse trailer.
5:37 PM Officers responded to 911 calls reporting a vehicle versus motorcycle accident at Hill Road and Cty. Rd. B. The driver of the vehicle was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
Monday, September 17th
8:25 AM Officers responded to a call from the owner of an area business on Hwy. 45 reporting that someone may have tried to break in. The front glass door was cracked. It happened sometime between 3:30 PM on 9/16/18 and 5:45 AM on 9/17/18.
8:28 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting an abandoned vehicle on his hunting land located on the end of Kane Lane, off of Hwy. 55. He gave officers the license plate number. The license number came back to a stolen 2013 Ford Fusion from Winnebago County. The vehicle was towed. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office was contacted.
