International Credit Union Day is Thursday, October 18
For the Antigo Times
On Oct. 18, credit union members around the world will celebrate International Credit Union Day, an annual event to commemorate the credit union movement’s impact and achievements. This year marks the 70th anniversary, a platinum celebration. In honor of this special day, CoVantage Credit Union invites its members and the entire community to your local CoVantage Credit Union branch.
Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives that provide a viable alternative to for-profit financial institutions for millions of members in 117 countries worldwide. More than 89,000 credit unions exist globally, recognized as a force for positive economic and social change. CoVantage and all credit unions worldwide share a common goal to offer access to affordable financial services to their members and provide even the most financially disadvantaged the opportunity to be financially self-sufficient. Making dreams a reality is the credit union difference that makes a real impact in our world.
Please join the staff at CoVantage Credit Union as they celebrate credit unions’ proud history. Refreshments will be served at all branch locations on Thursday, October 18. CoVantage serves over 100,000 members in communities throughout Central and Northern Wisconsin as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
