Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 10/22/18

ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, October 8th
11:55 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that her red VW Bug was struck within the last hour to hour and a half while it was parked in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64. The caller told officers that she had already picked up the pieces of her vehicle that were on the ground. There was damage to the driver’s side rear of the vehicle. There were no witnesses.
2:40 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that his tan 2003 Toyota Camry was struck sometime within the last hour and a half while he was in a meeting at an address on Langlade Road. There was white paint transfer on the male’s vehicle. There were no cameras in the area.
Tuesday, October 9th
11:40 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Edison Street reporting that a 30 year old male subject was acting suspicious. He was sitting in front of the business on a bench. While still on the phone with officers, the subject stood up and fell into the street. The male subject was still lying in the street when officers arrived. He was given a ride to a residence on Mayfair Street.
Thursday, October 11th
5:46 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he was out walking his dog when he noticed a light pole was knocked down near Beattie Avenue and Hogan Street. The Department of Public Works was notified. Photos were taken. No vehicle parts were left behind and no paint transfer was noticed. It appeared to officers that a vehicle cut across the grass, eastbound on to Elm Street. A resident on Elm Street stated to officers that vehicles cut across the grass all of the time. She said that she had heard nothing the night before. Officers requested that she call them if she sees anyone driving on the grass in the future.
7:42 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that his 2018 Ford was struck while it was parked at Deleglise Street and 7th Avenue on Friday, October 5th while he was at the football game. There was damage to the hood and grill. There was red paint transfer on the male subject’s vehicle.
Friday, October 12th
5:47 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on 2nd Avenue reporting that he had just witnessed a silver extended cab pickup pull up to another residence on 2nd Avenue and a male subject got out with a bat and hit out a tail light on a vehicle at that residence. Officers received a second call from a female at that residence reporting that a male subject came into her house and asked where the male party that lives there was. At 7:48pm, officers arrested the male subject. He was charged with criminal damage, disorderly conduct, trespassing and two counts of bail jumping.
Saturday, October 13th
12:33 AM Officer received a call from a female on Pine Street reporting that her dogs were barking and someone was banging on the door. She would like officers to check the area. The individuals banging on the door were the Antigo Police Department attempting to arrest the female subject on an outstanding warrant. Dispatch told the female to meet the officers outside. The female subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to pay a fine for a parking violation.
1:17 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Farwell Avenue. The male driver was arrested for intoxicated driving and was cited for unsafe lane deviation.
8:49 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a vehicle backed into his work truck at a residence on 10th Avenue.
10:43 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he was southbound on Hwy. 45 in Antigo, when a green Ford truck crossed the highway and forced him to take the ditch to avoid an accident. The truck then turned westbound on Amron Avenue. The truck was described as being less than 10 years old, solid green, with no topper and a female passenger inside wearing a baseball cap. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. The male called back later saying that his vehicle was now making some noise, so he would have to take it in to get checked out.
3:42 PM While following up on another call, officers came in contact with a male subject and a female subject on Dorr Street. Both subjects were arrested for possession of meth.
Sunday, October 14th
12:07 AM Officers came upon a highly intoxicated female walking and talking to herself at 7th Avenue and Clermont Street. She told officers that she was locked out of her house and was walking to a friend’s house. Officers escorted the 49 year old female subject to a residence on Milton Street for her safety.
7:55 PM Officers received a call from a female on Maple Street reporting a break-in at her home. She told officers that nothing was missing, but she had noticed doors open that shouldn’t have been open and other doors closed and locked that shouldn’t have been. She also saw that items had been moved around in her kid’s room. There were no suspects. The caller requested an extra patrol.
Tuesday, October 16th
9:38 AM Officers responded to a call from Antigo High School reporting that a male student was loose in the school and was very irate. He had been kicked out of school earlier that day, but came back inside and had an injury to his hand. He was now attempting to find another student. The caller told officers that he was last seen in the math wing on the 1st floor. The school issued a lockdown. The male student was found and driven to the emergency room by a relative. He was then arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal damage and felony bail jumping.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Thursday, October 11th
8:42 PM Officers were at a residence on Wilson Road on a warrant attempt. One male subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant. A second male subject was arrested on a Shawano County Sheriff’s Office warrant and was also charged with possession of meth, possession of meth paraphernalia and felony bail jumping. A female subject was also arrested for obstructing, two counts of bail jumping, possession of meth and possession of meth paraphernalia.
Friday, October 12th
8:40AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that someone had been in his business on Hwy. 55 the night before and took money and damaged a machine. A coin exchange machine was broken into and $500 to $750 worth of quarters, $1 bills & $5 bills had been taken. The lock had been removed without any visible damage and the inner tray, containing the money had been taken.
Saturday, October 13th
8:05 PM Officers hit a bear at Hwy. 64 and Wallrich Road. There was no visible damage to the squad car. The bear went back into the woods.
Sunday, October 14th
3:46 PM Officers responded to an anonymous report of a male subject with a revoked license that was out driving. The caller gave officers a description of the vehicle he was driving. Dispatch confirmed that the male subject had a revoked license, had an ignition interlock device requirement as well as an alcohol restriction of .02. Officers stopped the vehicle at Cty. Rd. C and Cty. Rd. H. The male subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant. He was referred for failure to install an ignition lock device and operating after revocation, operating while intoxicated related.
11:21 PM Officers came across a male subject walking on Pioneer Road, south of Cherry Road. They detected the strong odor of intoxicants. The male subject admitted that he had been drinking and voluntarily submitted to a preliminary breathalyzer test, which was 0.122. The male subject was arrested on 4 Langlade & Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office warrants. He was transported to Corrections. Once there, the male subject was found to have numerous open cases in a few counties. In addition to the warrants, he was booked on 18 counts of bail jumping (7 misdemeanor and 11 felony).
Monday, October 15th
9:39 AM Officers were out with two male subjects and one female subject at Cty. Rd. D and Hwy. 45. Their vehicle had broken down. One male subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant. The vehicle was towed.
10:02 AM Officers conducted a forgery investigation for a male on 10th Avenue who reported that a male subject had forged a check from his mailbox in the amount of $1,150.00 from a business. The male alleged that a female subject and a male subject took the check from his mailbox and forged the payee line to include their names. The bank detected fraud and the check was never cashed. The male victim told officers that he closed his account the next day and the business that had issued the check had it cancelled. No money was transferred.
9:10PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting that while swerving to miss a deer, he went into the ditch on Cty. Rd. G. He told officers that he was able to get out of the ditch, but had damage to his vehicle. Also, when he served to miss the deer, he struck a cluster of mailboxes at the corner of Cty. Rd. G and Stub Road. The male driver was working with the mailbox owners on getting the mailboxes fixed.
Tuesday, October 16th
9:51 AM Officers responded to a call from a probation and parole agent requesting an officer to come to their office and arrest a female subject on a Vilas County warrant for failure to pay a fine for an illegally obtained prescription and disorderly conduct. She was transported to Corrections.
