Partners students learn about Halloween, work with 3D printer to make Jack O’ Lanterns

For the Antigo Times
Partners students had a great time learning about the history and folklore behind Halloween in early October.
Along with showing what they learned in traditional writing styles, students also showed what they learned by designing Jack O’ Lanterns in a CAD program and printing them out on Partners’ new 3D printer.
This final phase was a friendly competition where students voted for the best Jack O’ Lantern print. The winner of our competition was Shane Hitz. He is shown in the photo with his winning design, as well as his prize; a Bluetooth mouse for use with his Chromebook. A partnership between NTC and Antigo High School makes using this technology possible for the Partners students.
