The Antigo Red Robins took a 14-52 loss against West De Pere in a WIAA Level 1 game Oct. 19 at West De Pere High School.

The Robins were unable to hold off the No. 1 seeded Phantoms in the first half of the game, with the Phantoms scoring four touchdowns and a field goal before half time.

Antigo put together an impressive 65-yard drive to start the second half that was capped off with a 30-yard pass from Nevin Cornelius to Dominic Smith to cut the margin to 31-6.

After the Phantoms tacked on their fifth rushing touchdown of the evening to make it 38-6, they gave up a 76-yard touchdown run on 4th and 1 late in the third quarter to Antigo’s Smith.

It would be the final points of the evening for the Red Robins as the Phantoms tacked on two fourth-quarter touchdowns.

West De Pere will face Freedom in Level 2 Oct. 26 at West De Pere High School.
