Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 11/19/18
ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, November 5th
4:51 PM Officers responded to multiple reports of a two vehicle accident at 5th Avenue and Superior Street. Property damage only. The 22 year old female driver of one vehicle was cited for having no insurance and failure to yield the right of way.
Tuesday, November 6th
12:15 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on Hickory Street reporting that some items had been stolen from his garage. A yellow WEN generator valued at $389, a Predator chainsaw with a hard case valued at $130 and MarCum flasher unit valued at $400. The caller gave officers the name of a male suspect who admitted to the caller that he had taken the items and pawned them at a business in Wausau. Officers placed a hold with the Wausau business for the generator and chainsaw.
3:36 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that her 11 year old daughter was walking home from school that day, when an older male subject in a smaller, rusty, blue pickup truck asked her if she needed a ride near Clermont Street and 8th Avenue. The male was described as being in his 60’s with a chest length white/gray beard and wearing a baseball hat. The 11 year old told the male subject that she didn’t want a ride and took an alley home to get away from him. It was decided that an extra patrol would be in the area when school gets out.
7:58 PM Officers responded to a report of an accident on Elm Street. A female driver hit a parked vehicle. Property damage only. The 26 year old female driver was arrest for driving while intoxicated, 2nd offense. Both vehicles were towed.
Wednesday, November 7th
8:03 PM Officers responded to a 911 reporting that a male subject needed help at an address on Neva Road. The reporting person was not at the scene, but had heard the male subject say, “I can’t believe this is happening. There is blood dripping everywhere.” When officers arrived, the 23 year old male subject refused a preliminary breath test. He was taken to the squad car, but refused to get in. There was a small scuffle and he was placed in handcuffs. He eventually got in the back of the squad. He was arrested on a probation hold. The male subject was not bleeding. A second male subject was given a preliminary breath test. He had a blood alcohol content of 0.207%. The 30 year old male subject was arrested on a probation hold.
10:51 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a male subject was lying on the sidewalk at 5th Avenue and Clermont Street, next to a fire hydrant. The caller told officers that the subject was not moving much. He was described as being an older man wearing orange pants and a gray shirt. When officers arrived, they realized that it was at least the 4th time since the summer that someone had found this same male subject on a sidewalk or a roadway. He was in his usual state of intoxication, where he needed assistance standing or walking. He was given a ride to his residence on Mayfair Street. He was cited for disorderly conduct.
Thursday, November 8th
7:53 PM Officers were doing a follow up at a residence on Clermont Street. They located a small amount of marijuana and a marijuana pipe. The items were logged in and destroyed.
Friday, November 9th
11:00 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting a disturbance at an area business on 5th Avenue. The caller told officers that his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend had come up to the truck and punched the passenger side window and there was now glass everywhere. The male subject had told the caller that he was going to kill him with a knife. He then punched the truck window causing glass to be strewn on the caller, cutting his ear and getting blood all over him. The male subject was cited for disorderly conduct.
Saturday, November 10th
1:35 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at 4th Avenue and Superior Street. One passenger had a head injury. The female driver of one of the vehicles was cited for having no insurance.
5:22 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at an area business on S. Superior Street. The male driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sunday, November 11th
1:36 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Deleglise Street. The 23 year old male driver was taken into custody on two Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrants. He was also cited for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense, having an expired registration and operating after suspension. He was also given written warning for having no insurance and making an illegal U-turn.
12:17 PM Officers responded to several reports of an accident at 3rd Avenue and Superior Street.
4:14 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting a two vehicle accident on Hwy. 64. There were no injuries and no vehicles were towed.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Wednesday, November 7th
2:44 PM Officers conducted a knock and talk at a residence on Center Street in White Lake. Officers located a clandestine methamphetamine lab. A 25 year old female subject was arrested for possession of meth and was charged accordingly for having a meth lab. A 26 year old male subject was also arrested for possession of meth and was charged accordingly for having a meth lab. A marijuana pipe and grinder were also located in a second male subject’s bedroom. That male later admitted to officers that he knew the pipe was there and used it for marijuana. The second male subject was referred for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Thursday, November 8th
5:02 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a car vs deer accident on Cty. Rd. C. The caller said that an oncoming vehicle struck a deer. The deer then flew towards the caller’s vehicle, going through the front windshield and out the back window. The caller told officers that the car that originally hit the deer took off. EMS was paged. The male driver was transported to Langlade Hospital by the Antigo Fire Department.
10:11 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 55 and Cty. Rd. K. The male driver had been weaving and crossing the centerline. The 25 year old was arrested for possession of Ecstasy, possession with intent to deliver heroin and cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Corrections.
Friday, November 9th
12:03 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he ran in the ditch on Cty. Rd. C. He told officers that there was damage to the front end of the vehicle, but he thought it was drivable. The vehicle was towed.
12:13 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he ran into the ditch with an armored vehicle on Cty. Rd. C, east of Franc Road. The caller stated that he struck his head, but denied medical attention. Upon the officer’s arrival, the driver changed his mind and requested an ambulance. The vehicle was towed.
8:45 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 45 requesting an officer to remove a heavily intoxicated customer, who they had asked to leave but he refused. The caller told officers that the male subject had been there for about 15 to 20 minutes. The 41 year old male subject was given a ride to an area motel for the night.
Saturday, November 10th
9:41 AM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at E. 10th Avenue and Cty. Rd. AA. Officers were told that a male subject was out of his truck. A pole had been hit and there were nicks in it. WPS was contacted. Both vehicles were towed.
10:49 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting that a vehicle struck a telephone pole outside his home on North Avenue. There were no injuries. WPS was notified. The vehicle was towed.
Sunday, November 11th
4:50 AM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female reporting that she crashed her vehicle into a ditch on Hwy. 55 near Lily, but she didn’t know exactly where she was. There was no damage. The vehicle was towed out.
3:15 PM Officers responded to an emergency car alarm for an accident on Byers Road with one occupant asking for an ambulance. Officers then received a call from the male reporting that he was the driver and he did not need an ambulance. He told officers that there was only minor damage to the vehicle and he had already driven it out of the ditch.
Monday, November 12th
6:28 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he rolled his truck on Trout Road between Cty. Rd. AA and Cty. Rd. W. He denied needing an ambulance but was having leg pain. The male told officers that he was heading south on Trout Road when his vehicle began to slide on the ice covered road. He stated that he then got pulled into the ditch, where the vehicle rolled and landed upright.
