Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 11/12/18
ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, October 29th
10:19 AM Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on 5th Avenue. A male subject was arrested for possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping. A female subject was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Drug endangered children protocol was followed. Three minor children were removed from the residence.
11:00 AM Officers responded to a call from security personnel at an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that two Native American female subjects had items that they did not pay for and they were exiting the business. Security was able to detain one of the female subjects. The other fled the parking lot going westbound on Hwy. 64 in a gray two door vehicle, after a male subject wearing a backpack jumped into the vehicle with her. The 51 year old female subject left behind in the business was arrested for retail theft. Officers stopped the suspect vehicle on Meadow Road. The 31 year old female subject was arrested for retail theft.
3:52 PM Officers responded to a report of marijuana found at Saratoga Park. Officers picked it up and placed it into evidence for destruction.
7:56 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female at an apartment building on Charlotte Court requesting an officer for her 41 year old boyfriend who had been huffing dusters and had gone crazy and tried to attack her. She told officers that he was now in his room and she was outside. There were no weapons and no one had been drinking. Officers requested EMS for the male subject who was breathing but non-responsive. He was later transported to Corrections.
10:12 PM Officers responded to a report of an accident at Hudson Street and 7th Avenue. When officers got to the scene, one of the vehicles was gone. Officers found the vehicle in the 300 block of 8th Avenue. The male driver was given a stern warning by officers about leaving the scene. Property damage only.
Tuesday, October 30th
12:36 PM Officers cited two female students for disorderly conduct for fighting at Antigo High School.
12:38 PM Officers cited a female student for disorderly conduct for starting a fight and punching another female student at Antigo High School.
3:53 PM Officers were at a residence on 6th Avenue. A male subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s office warrant for failure to pay a fine for operating after revocation, a Shawano County Sheriff’s office warrant for failure to pay a fine for operating after revocation and possession of meth. He was transported to Corrections
5:01 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting that they had a male subject detained for shoplifting. The 22 year old male subject was arrested for one count of felony bail jumping and retail theft.
9:47 PM Officers were at an area business on Edison Street. A male subject was arrested on 9 counts of felony bail jumping. He was transported to Corrections.
11:02 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a reckless driver that was going northbound on Hwy. 45. The vehicle was described as a Chevy Silverado. The caller gave officers the license plate number. She told officers that the driver was swerving, kept the vehicle blinker on and almost went into the ditch many times. Officers stopped the vehicle at 9th Avenue and Hudson Street. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 7th offense and possession of marijuana.
Wednesday, October 31st
8:29 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was involved in a two car accident at 5th Avenue and Morse Street. There was only minor damage and no injuries.
5:34 PM Officers were at a residence on 5th Avenue. A male subject was arrested for possession of meth.
8:33 PM Officers stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on Superior Street. A male subject was arrested on a Milwaukee County Sheriff’s office warrant. He was transported to Corrections.
Thursday, November 1st
12:17 AM Officers were out with a male subject lying on the sidewalk in the 500 block of Morse Street. The male subject was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. He had a blood alcohol content of 0.15.
3:23 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident in the parking lot of an area business on S. Superior Street. Property damage only.
10:06 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that his Iphone7 was stolen by a female subject. The caller was now at a residence on 6th Avenue where the female subject was. The female subject was referred for retail theft.
Friday, November 2nd
5:37 PM Officers were at an area business on Hwy. 64. A female subject was arrested for retail theft, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of heroin with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and a probation hold. A second female subject was cited for retail theft.
Saturday, November 3rd
1:14 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Century Avenue and Clermont Street. The male driver of one vehicle was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
5:01 PM Officers responded to multiple reports of two small children, about 3 years old, riding tricycles close to Superior Street by 3rd Avenue. Dispatch then received a report that the children went into an area business on Superior Street. Officers were able to identify the children. While going to their residence on Arctic Street, officers also located a 9 year old female on her bike, looking for the other two children. The 29 year old female at the residence told officers that the children had left the house while she was going to the bathroom.
Sunday, November 4th
12:55 AM Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated female at an area business on 5th Avenue, that was refusing to leave. She was described as wearing a gray t-shirt and black leggings. When officers arrived, EMS was paged as the female subject was breathing, but unresponsive due to alcohol. The female was heavily intoxicated and had vomited several times. She was turned over to the Antigo Fire Department and after treatment, given a ride home.
1:27 AM Officers responded to a report of a fight at an area business on 5th Avenue. A 39 year old male subject was arrested for bail jumping.
9:41 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that he slid off the road north of Bridge Street on Saratoga Street. He told officers that he drove the vehicle out of the ditch, but it had damage.
10:54 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he was involved in a two car accident at Clermont Street and Ackley Street. There were no injuries. The caller was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign. The male driver of the other vehicle was cited for having no insurance.
10:58 AM Officers were at the scene of an accident at 1st Avenue and Clermont Street. The male driver of one vehicle was arrested on a Shawano County Sheriff’s office warrant for failure to pay a fine for disorderly conduct. The female driver of the other vehicle and three other passengers were transported by the Antigo Fire Department to Langlade Hospital.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Wednesday, October 31st
5:29 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting he was in a vehicle rollover on Cty. Rd. M, west of Hwy. 55. The driver reported that he was the only person in the vehicle, the only vehicle involved and he had an injury to his arm. The vehicle was towed.
8:58 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a two vehicle accident on Hwy. 64. He told officers that a female subject rear-ended him when he slowed down to avoid hitting a deer. The female subject’s vehicle was smoking and the westbound lane was blocked. There were no injuries. EMS was denied. The female’s vehicle was towed.
Thursday, November 1st
8:40 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 64 and Elton South Road. The female driver was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s office warrant for failure to pay a fine for theft of library materials.
11:19 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female employee of an area business on Hwy. 47 reporting that a customer who was intoxicated and had been told to leave, was now lying in the middle of the road on Hwy. 47 and being verbal with the owner in the parking lot. Officers found out that the male subject was intoxicated and the staff had refused to serve him. He became upset and was told to leave, but he refused. He was escorted out the back door by the owner. He then came back to the front door, bleeding from the head and was escorted out again. When officers arrived, the male was sitting in his car. He had blood on his face from a head wound and smelled strongly of intoxicants. EMS arrived and while being escorted to the ambulance, the male subject kicked an officer and also tried to kick EMS personnel. The 58 year old male subject was transported to Langlade Hospital for medical clearance and was then transported to Corrections for disorderly conduct.
Friday, November 2nd
8:31 PM Officers were at a residence on Cty. Rd. T on a warrant attempt. Officers received the male owner’s permission to enter the residence. A female subject was arrested on multiple Langlade County Sheriff’s office warrants and one count of bail jumping. She was taken into custody without incident.
Sunday, November 4th
8:53 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she slid in the ditch and struck some trees on Hwy. 64. The vehicle was towed.
9:20 AM Officers received a call, transferred from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office, from a male reporting that his friend had rolled his vehicle on Cty. Rd. H, one mile south of Cty. Rd. Q. The driver was not injured, but was trapped in the vehicle. All Langlade County deputies were busy on other calls, so assistance was requested from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office.
10:21 AM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch between Cty. Rd. T and Hickory Road. A 50 year old female from Appleton told officers that she was the person driving the vehicle at the time of the accident, but she was no longer on the scene. The vehicle was towed.
10:59 AM Officer responded to a call from a female reporting that she was in the ditch at Hwy. 64 and Zima Road. She told officers that she didn’t think there was any damage to her vehicle and a tow truck was on the way there. Officers then received a second call that the female driver would like an ambulance.
11:52 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she ran in the ditch on Cty. Rd. K, by Luther Lane. She told officers that another vehicle ran in the ditch right after her, striking the back of her vehicle. She requested emergency medical assistance to check out her children.
1:46 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a Chevy Trailblazer in the ditch on Cty. Rd. D by Rolling Hills Road. The caller told officers that he had talked to a female and a male subject (teenagers) and asked them if they ran into the ditch. The female said “yes” and the male said “no.” They then continued walking and turned on Rolling Hills Road. Officers noticed two footprints from the vehicle which headed down Rolling Hills Road. Officers talked to the male and female subjects. They again gave conflicting stories. The owner of the vehicle was going to contact officers when they determined who had been driving the vehicle.
Tuesday, November 6th
6:00 AM Officers responded to a report of an accident on Forest Road, between Kleever Road and Turner Road. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed.
4:03 PM Officers responded to a call from a male at an area business on Hwy. 47 reporting that a female had dropped off an African American male subject, gave him $2 for some French fries and left. The male subject told the caller that he was from New York City, then Milwaukee and Antigo. He left 10 minutes before the male called officers, walking westbound on Hwy. 47 to Antigo, wearing only a red sweatshirt and carrying a red duffel bag. Officers located the male subject at Hwy. 47 and Evergreen Road. The 22 year old male subject was arrested on a body only warrant out of Bayfield County and a Marathon County Sheriff’s office warrant for failure to appear – operating without a license. He was turned over the Marathon County Sheriff’s office.
Wednesday, November 7th
12:40 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a vehicle in the ditch at Cty. Rd. A and Cty. Rd. C. The caller told officers that he had talked to the male driver of the vehicle and thought that he seemed intoxicated. There were no injuries. When officers arrived, they noticed front end damage to the vehicle that looked like the driver had already struck something before he arrived at that location. Upon further investigation, officers found a mailbox that was struck at Cty. Rd. C and Little Chicago Road. Officers located pieces of the male subject’s vehicle at the scene. Based on the location of the evidence and tire tracks in the snow, officers determined that the male was traveling westbound on Cty. Rd. C, crossed the centerline, left the road striking the mailbox, then drove into and back out of the ditch before turning around and going eastbound on Cty. Rd. C. He then went into the ditch again at Cty. Rd. C and Cty. Rd. A. The male subject was taken to a secure area for a field sobriety test. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was also cited for operating left of center, hit & run striking property adjacent to the highway, failure to notify law enforcement of and accident, failure to maintain control, failure to obey road signs, open intoxicants and operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol content. The vehicle was towed.
