Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 12/10/18

ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, November 26th
9:08 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a shoplifter that had been in the business on 11/22/18. The female subject had stolen a bottle of wine. Another employee had observed her concealing the item in her purse. The business had a picture of the female subject in a pink jacket. Officers were able to identify the female. On 11/27/18 officers questioned the female subject who admitted to the theft. She was referred for theft.
11:37 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Clermont Street reporting that there was a male subject there that had an outstanding warrant. The male subject was described as wearing a black winter coat and a camo baseball hat. The 24 year old male subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant and was cited for obstructing. The male had given officers a false name and birth date.
12:36 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at 5th Avenue and Lincoln Street. The caller told officers that all of the people were out of the vehicles and checking for damage. The female driver of one of the vehicles was cited for failure to yield the right of way and for having no insurance.
4:03 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident in front of an area business on Hwy. 64. There was no road blockage. Property damage only.
Tuesday, November 27th
9:02 AM A female came to the Safety Building to report that her residence on 3rd Avenue had been entered and some items were stolen. Her Gabapentin medication, $20 and a lock box were stolen sometime between Monday, November 20th and Tuesday, November 21st.
9:39 PM Officers arrested a male subject at a residence on Deleglise Street on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant.
11:45 PM Officers were out with a vehicle at 9th Avenue and Deleglise Street. The 33 year old male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated and was transported to Corrections.
Wednesday, November 28th
7:50 AM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at 5th Avenue and Superior Street. There were no injuries. The male driver of one of the vehicles was cited for inattentive driving.
9:05 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that her light blue Buick LaCrosse was struck in the parking lot of the Antigo Post Office by a black GMC Yukon. The female stated that the male driver of the other vehicle yelled at her and then left. He was now located in the parking lot of an area business across the street. Officer cited the male driver of the second vehicle for failure to report an accident.
Thursday, November 29th
12:56 AM Officer responded to 911 call from a male subject at an area business on Memory Lane who was requesting an ambulance for knee pain. The male subject was cited for possession of marijuana.
Friday, November 30th
11:22 AM Officers cited a 15 year old male student with criminal damage for intentionally breaking a Chromebook owned by Antigo High School.
Saturday, December 1st
10:31 PM Officers responded to a call from a female at an area business on 5th Avenue reporting that another female subject had punched her in the eye twice. The assaulting female was described as having blonde hair and wearing a long sleeve gray sweater and a red vest. The caller also gave officers the subject’s first name. The reporting female told officers that she had just become friends with the female subject, who was from Wausau. She said that she was showing the female some messages on her phone when all of the sudden the female punched her in the face. The reporting female did not have any injuries and there were no marks on her face. She also told officers that the female subject was with a male subject from Sturgeon Bay. No one there knew the last names of the male and female subjects.
Sunday, December 2nd
3:56 AM Officers were out with a 48 year old male subject at Dorr Street and 6th Avenue. Officers found the male walking in full snow camo during a snow storm, wearing binoculars. He stated to officers that he was just out for a walk and that he was looking at the sky with the binoculars. Officers retraced the subject’s steps in the snow which led to a pine tree in a female subject’s yard one block away. The male subject was arrested for felony bail jumping, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and stalking.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Thursday, November 29th
1:31 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that there was a vehicle stuck in the yard near her residence on Alcedo Street and it was unable to get out because of the snow. A short time later, dispatch received a call from the female driver of the vehicle stating that she slid off the road and needed a tow truck. She told officers that she was trying to turn around and went into the ditch. She then tried to get it out, but the tires would only spin and she ended up farther in the ditch.
5:57 AM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the south ditch on Cty. Rd. N near Singer Road. The reporting person stated that it appeared to have been there a while.
9:39 AM Officers were out with a vehicle in the ditch at Hwy. 55 and W. Rolling Stone Drive. The male owner of the vehicle told officers that he would have the vehicle out before the end of the day. The vehicle was well off of the roadway.
5:01 PM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Cty. Rd. D, just north of Huggins Road. The reporting person told officers that there was another vehicle there, trying to pull it out. There was no damage.
Friday, November 30th
11:44 AM Officers responded to a report of a man, in his 50s-60s, sleeping on the hood of his car at the White Lake Beach. The reporting person told officers that he had asked the male subject if he was ok, the man looked at him, but did not verbally respond. When officers arrived, the male subject was lying on the hood and looked like he was sleeping. He eventually told officers that it felt like someone put a knife in his chest and his arm was numb at one point. The male subject agreed to get checked out, but refused transport by the medical unit. It was determined that he had extremely high blood pressure. He did agree to have his girlfriend drive him to Langlade Hospital, but officers later located him walking near his residence and he denied needing any assistance.
Saturday, December 1st
2:24 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he rolled his vehicle on Bluebird Road. The vehicle was completely in the ditch. There were no injuries. Dispatch notified the Highway Department that there was damage to a guard rail. The vehicle was towed.
9:54 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that there was a vehicle in the ditch in front of her residence on North Avenue. The female stated that the vehicle was driving back and forth trying to get out of the ditch. The vehicle was towed out.
Sunday, December 2nd
9:35 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that the contents of his deer blind, located on public land near Bogus Road and Log Road were missing. He told officers that he was last in the deer blind at 7:00 PM on 12/1/18 and returned at 8:00 AM on 12/2/18 and found that the padlocked door was torn off of his hunting blind. He did not see any fresh tracks in the snow. The male told officers that $2,950 worth of hunting equipment had been taken or damaged from the blind. There were no suspects. This was the third theft of the male subject’s hunting gear in the last two years. Officers spoke with him about leaving his gear unattended in such a high traffic area.
2:08 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that his vehicle slid into the ditch on Cty. Rd. G. He stated that the vehicle had sustained over $1,000 in damage. There was damage to a Wisconsin Public Service pole and a Frontier phone box. The vehicle was towed.
2:30 PM Officers responded to a call reporting that a silver SUV went into the ditch on Hwy. 64, east of Airport Road. The caller also told officers that there were two male subjects in the vehicle. The vehicle was towed out.
Tuesday, December 4th
6:36 AM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle that was way off of the road at the intersection of Cty. Rd. D and Cty. Rd. S. The vehicle was towed.
