ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, December 10th
10:13 AM Officers cited a 16 year old male student with truancy for missing all or part of 43 unexcused days of school.
10:13 AM Officers cited a 15 year old male student with truancy for missing all or part of 34 unexcused days of school.
10:13 AM Officers cited a 16 year old male student with truancy for missing all or part of 37 unexcused days of school.
1:39 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he was rear-ended by a black SUV at the intersection of Hwy. 45 and Hwy. 64.
3:51 PM Officers cited two 13 year old male students with disorderly conduct for fighting at Antigo Middle School.
3:55 PM Officers cited a 13 year old male student for theft at Antigo Middle School.
3:58 PM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a two vehicle accident on Kelly Street. The caller told officers that there did not appear to be any injuries. One vehicle was blocking the road. Property damage only.
8:54 PM Officers executed a warrant attempt at a residence on 5th Avenue. A 28 year old male subject was arrested on 4 Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrants. He was transported to Corrections.
Tuesday, December 11th
12:14 AM Officers executed a warrant attempt at a residence on Lincoln Street. A 24 year old male subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant. He was transported to Corrections.
3:30 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a two vehicle hit and run accident on Hwy. 64. The caller stated that a green Buick Century type vehicle left the scene going westbound on Hwy. 64. The caller followed the vehicle and gave officers a license plate number. The number given did not match the vehicle description. The other vehicle involved in the accident was a new white car with an elderly female driver. While officers were en-route, the male caller came to the Safety Building with the 87 year old female driver of the second vehicle. Officers sent a teletype to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office to attempt to locate the green vehicle. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office called back reporting that they had the striking vehicle on a traffic stop with the 17 year old female driver.
Wednesday, December 12th
8:09 AM A female subject came to the Safety Building to report that she was involved in a rear-end type crash at 5th Avenue and Superior Street. The reporting female gave officers the name of the other female driver involved.
3:12 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on Superior Street. One vehicle was towed. The 24 year old female driver of the other vehicle was cited for having no insurance and failure to yield the right of way.
Thursday, December 13th
3:25 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was just involved in an accident on Neva Road in front of an area business. The caller told officers that both vehicles pulled in to the parking lot of the business. Property damage only.
4:00 PM Officers cited a 14 year old male student with disorderly conduct at Antigo High School.
4:07 PM Officers cited a 14 year old male student with disorderly conduct at Antigo High School.
4:08 PM Officers referred a 15 year old female student and a 14 year old female student for disorderly conduct at Antigo High School.
4:09 PM Officers referred a 13 year old male student for disorderly conduct at Antigo High School.
4:44 PM Officers referred an 11 year old male student for disorderly conduct at Antigo Middle School.
5:07 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business requesting an officer for a shoplifter. The 35 year old female subject was cited for retail theft.
6:28 PM Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Weed Street. A 42 year old male subject was taken into custody on a probation hold.
Friday, December 14th
6:49 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that her vehicle had lurched forward and took out a panel of fencing in the parking lot at Langlade Hospital. The vehicle was towed.
9:41 AM Officers referred a 12 year old male student for disorderly conduct at Antigo Middle School.
11:25 AM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on Hwy. 45. One vehicle had rear-ended another vehicle. A blue Impala was in the median and the female driver had neck and head pain. The other vehicle had pulled into the parking lot of an area business and the male driver of that vehicle appeared to be ok. Officers found out that the female driver of the blue Impala had slowed to turn into the parking lot of an area business, when the male driver of the second vehicle backed into her.
12:44 PM Officers responded to a call from an area establishment on Clermont Street reporting that a silver van had just struck their building and the female driver then got out and walked into another area business. The 81 year old female driver of the van told officers that she believed that she may have pushed on the gas rather than the brake. The female subject was written for re-exam.
4:57 PM A female subject came to the Safety Building to report the theft of some jewelry and a jewelry box from her residence on Hudson Street while she was out of town from November 6, 2018 to December 5, 2018. The items missing included: 4 rings (1 garnet, 1 citrine large gold, 1 topaz with about 10 stones & 1 silver with a blue stone), a pearl hat pin with a gold stem, diamond earrings with 3 diamonds on each, an old watch that did not work, a pin with garnets and a men’s black jewelry box. The female told officers that she noticed that the items were missing a couple of days after returning home. A friend of the female that lived nearby had not noticed anything out of the ordinary while she was gone. There was no forced entry. The female mentioned to officers that the only strange occurrence that she could think of was on the day she left town. She went to the ATM machine and when she returned, the front door had been open.
Saturday, December 15th
1:17 AM Officers were out with a vehicle at 10th Avenue and Weed Street which was not stopping. After the vehicle stopped, a foot pursuit occurred with the female driver of the vehicle. The 31 year old female subject was apprehended and transported to Langlade Hospital and later to Corrections. The female subject was arrested for a prohibited alcohol content, 4th offense with child under 16, operating after revocation and a Department of Corrections warrant. She was also cited for a loud exhaust, open intoxicants and no child safety restraint for a child under 4 years old. A 23 year old female passenger was also cited for open intoxicants.
7:58 AM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at E. 10th Avenue and S. Park Street. Property damage only. The 17 year old male driver of one vehicle was cited for failure to clean his windshield.
2:34 PM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a 15 year old female subject that was semi-conscious at a residence on Hudson Street. The female had a seizure prior to medical and law enforcement arrival.
8:19 PM Officers responded to a call from a female calling from an area business on Superior Street reporting that her 14 year old son was a victim of an attempted abduction on Morse Street. The boy told officers that he had been walking home from a gas station when a vehicle drove past him going westbound. It then turned around and the male driver asked him if he needed a ride. He told the male subject “no.” The male then asked him if he was sure and he again said no. The boy told the male subject “no” a third time. The guy then stated, “Ok dude” and drove off. The boy told officers that the vehicle then turned around again and started driving toward him. He then got scared and ran back to the gas station. He had a cut on his hand and his jacket was ripped from climbing a fence. The male subject was described as having “a square face and a baseball hat,” driving a black SUV or van with a roof rack. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
11:39 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue and Edison Street. The 27 year old female driver was arrested on a Shawano County Sheriff’s Office warrant and a probation hold. She was also cited for operating after revocation.
Sunday, December 16th
1:37 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Ackley Street and Progress Boulevard. The 19 year old male driver was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
5:45 PM Officers were at an area business on Hwy. 64 for a retail theft complaint. A 30 year old male subject was arrested for violation of a protection order. He was also charged with retail theft and bail jumping. A 41 year old male subject was also referred for retail theft and bail jumping.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Wednesday, December 12th
1:24 PM Officers responded to two reports of a rollover accident on Hwy. 55, south of Kane Lane. One caller reported that two female subjects were out of the vehicle and had arm and leg pain.
5:16 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he hit some black ice and went into the ditch on Hwy. 47, east of S. Rollwood Road. There were no injuries.
5:29 Pm Officers responded to a report of a 2 vehicle accident at Cty. Rd. S and Pit Road. The 60 year old male driver of one vehicle requested to be checked out for back pain. The Highway Department was notified of the glare ice on Cty. Rd. S. The male subject was transported by EMS.
Friday, December 14th
4:42 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a vehicle was off the road on the northeast side of Hwy. 64 between Cty. Rd. M and N. White Lake Road. The caller estimated that the vehicle was about 40 feet off the road in the woods. She gave officers the license plate number. The vehicle was unoccupied and foot prints left the scene. There were no signs of injury. There was no damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was towed. Officers later spoke with the male driver of the vehicle who stated that he swerved to miss a deer while on his way home from work. The male subject was cited for striking property adjacent to the highway and was given a verbal warning for failure to maintain control.
9:16 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Superior Street. The 18 year old male driver was arrested on an Oneida County Sheriff’s Office warrant. He was also given verbal warnings for a defective tail light and having no license plate.
Sunday, December 16th
12:48 PM Officers responded to a call reporting that a silver Buick was in the ditch at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. T. The caller stated that the vehicle was well into the ditch and they had witnessed a male subject exiting the vehicle with no apparent injuries. The male driver told officers that he was coming from Rhinelander when a vehicle came up behind him quickly, so he turned onto Cty. Rd. T. He said that the sand on the road and his bald tires pulled the car onto the shoulder and into the snow. The driver did not have any signs of impairment. Officers gave the male subject a ride and told him to have the vehicle removed by 6:00 PM that day.
9:00 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male at a business on Hill Road reporting an intoxicated worker who was picking a fight with him. The male subject was described as approximately 30 years old, wearing an orange sweatshirt and jeans. The caller gave officers the subject’s first name. The 35 year old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and false imprisonment.
Tuesday, December 18th
8:06 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that the sun was in her eyes and she ran another vehicle off the road at Cty. Rd. B and Hwy. 45 in Summit Lake. There was no contact between the vehicles. The caller was upset and crying. The Elcho Fire Department was dispatched. The male driver of the other vehicle was able to get the vehicle out of the ditch himself, and left the scene. The Fire Department was advised to disregard.
