ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, January 7th
1:04 PM Officers responded to a call from West Elementary School for a student that was out of control. The male student had gone after a teacher with a pencil. The student was sent home with his mother.
Tuesday, January 8th
11:19 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on S. Superior Street reporting that they had a shoplifter on video at approximately 8:00 AM that morning.
1:42 PM Officers responded to a call from a female at an apartment building on Dorr Street reporting that someone had scraped the back bumper of her car.
7:56 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at an area business on Superior Street. The 25 year old male driver was arrested for possession of marijuana, an illegally obtained prescription and possession of cocaine.
Wednesday, January 9th
1:59 PM Officers cited a 13 year old male student with disorderly conduct for setting off a firecracker in the school bathroom at Antigo High School on 1/7/19.
2:00 PM Officers cited a 14 year old male student with disorderly conduct for punching another student at Antigo High School on 1/4/19.
2:02 PM Officers referred a 12 year old male student for a theft that occurred at Antigo Middle School on 12/14/18.
2:05 PM Officers cited a 15 year old female student with truancy for missing all or part of 55 unexcused days from school. Officers cited an 18 year old male student with truancy for missing all or part of 77 days of school. Officers cited an 18 year old male student with truancy for missing all or part of 55 days of school.
Thursday, January 10th
4:03 PM Officers cited a 14 year old male student with disorderly conduct at Antigo High School.
4:05 PM Officers cited a 13 year old female student with disorderly conduct for physically assaulting a 14 year old female student at Antigo High School.
4:10 PM Officers cited a 17 year old female student with truancy for missing all or part of 79 unexcused days from school. Officers cited a 17 year old male student with truancy for missing all or part of 79 days from school. Officers cited a 17 year old male student with truancy for missing all or part of 66 days from school.
Friday, January 11th
2:51 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on Clermont Street reporting that two men were outside her house who were screaming and falling down. She told officers that it looked like one of the men may be unconscious and the other male was trying to help him up. A 21 year old male subject was taken to Langlade Hospital for medical clearance and then arrested on 2 Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrants and a probation hold. The other 21 year old male subject was given a ride to a residence on Fred Street.
5:40 PM Officers were at a residence on Badger Avenue. A 31 year old male subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant, possession of marijuana and an illegally obtained prescription. He was transported to Corrections.
Saturday, January 12th
7:53 AM Officers cited a 14 year old female student with disorderly conduct for a physical altercation with another 14 year old female student at Antigo High School.
4:31 PM Officers arrested a 51 year old female subject at a residence on 6th Avenue for bail jumping.
10:01 PM Officers arrested a 56 year old male subject at an address on 5th Avenue on a Department of Corrections warrant. He was transported to Corrections.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Wednesday, January 9th
6:08 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting shots being fired at the end of the driveway at his father’s home on Moccasin Lake Road. The caller told officers that he believed that whoever fired the shots was on foot as they did not see any vehicles. He also reported finding shell casings at the end of the driveway. There were no injuries. 6 shell casings were found. The names of 2 possible male suspects were given to officers. Officers were investigating.
Thursday, January 10th
7:48 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 45 in Elcho reporting that a vehicle drove off with a gas hose still connected to their vehicle. It happened at around 5:00 PM that day. The vehicle was described as a white Chevy pickup. The male driver had paid for the gas. The caller gave officers the license plate number. The vehicle was registered to a male subject from Hermantown, Minnesota. The business told officers that a new part would cost about $100. Officers left a message with the registered owner and later talked to him on the phone. Officers gave the business the male subject’s contact information to discuss settling the damages.
8:13 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was northbound on Hwy. 45, just past Noboken Lane and was behind a smaller sedan, dark in color, possibly a 4 door vehicle that had crossed the centerline three times, then again while the caller was on the phone with dispatch. Officers were given the license plate number of the vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. B north of Summit Lake. The 57 year old male driver was given a warning for operating left of center.
9:55 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a two vehicle accident on Hwy. 64. The caller told officers that the other vehicle had pulled out in front of her and now her vehicle was totaled. She said that the other female driver had an injury to her eye and it was bleeding. Both subjects declined emergency medical services. The 47 year old female caller was arrested for intoxicated driving.
Friday, January 11th
1:42 PM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting that a vehicle went off the road on Maple Road, just south of Mapleview Road. There was no apparent injury to the driver. A mailbox on Maple Road was damaged. The 28 year old male driver was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
8:43 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Church Street in White Lake. The vehicle was initially stopped for a defective headlight, but the 57 year old male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 4th offense.
Saturday, January 12th
11:28 AM Officers responded to a report of a one vehicle rollover on Hwy. 55, north of Langlade about two miles. Black ice on Hwy. 55 had caused the female driver to lose control and roll into the ditch. There were no injuries.
Sunday, January 13th
4:06 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a “body” lying in the ditch, 500 feet south of Pond Road, near Fairview Road. The caller had observed the subject while driving by and stayed at the scene, at a distance, to provide dispatch with information. During the call, the female subject that was lying in the ditch was observed standing up and then walking northbound on Fairview Road. She was described as having long, curly hair and wearing a white coat. The female subject was finally located a couple hundred feet into a field on the northwest corner of Pond Road and Fairview Road by a first responder with a thermal imager. The female subject was conscious at the time, but showing signs of hypothermia. The female subject was taken to the hospital. At the hospital, she told officers that she was walking to her cabin from an area business when she started to feel faint and have an asthma attack. She didn’t remember much until officers located her.
2:20 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 55 and Cty. Rd. DD for a revoked driver’s license. Officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, a marijuana joint was located. The 40 year old male driver was arrested for operating after revocation – operating while intoxicated related and possession of marijuana.
3:23 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he had just gotten to his parent’s cabin on N. Post Lake Drive and noticed that the doors were open and there were footprints outside. He was not sure what may be missing. The male told officers that he would contact his parents and advise them of the burglary.
Monday, January 14th
10:25 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting that a vehicle had just rolled over on Hwy. 45, north of Birch Road and it was now upright in the ditch. Both subjects from the vehicle were out of the vehicle. The female subject had head and leg pain and the male subject wanted to get checked out by an ambulance. The vehicle was towed.
11:02 PM Officers received a call from an off duty officer reporting a vehicle in the ditch, west of Cty. Rd. A and Cty. Rd. C. Another vehicle at the scene was able to get the vehicle out. There was no damage.
Tuesday, January 15th
2:41 AM Officers responded to a 911 call from a 77 year old male on Pickerel Lake Road reporting that his residence was on fire. He told officers that he was out safely, in his vehicle and did not require medical attention. The Pickerel Fire Department was paged and they requested assistance from Langlade and Crandon. The male told officers that he had woken up to a noise. He then went to his bedroom door and opened it just a crack. He said that he saw a large red glow outside his room and immediately shut the door as he knew it was a fire. He then jumped off of his rear balcony with his dog. The male told officers that he had a fire in the fireplace earlier, but it was only ashes by 8:30 PM. He was unaware what would have started the fire.
5:45 AM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting a minor crash at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. G. There were no injuries. Both vehicles were drivable and off of the roadway.
7:38 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting that a truck slid off the road at Cty. Rd. O and Cty. Rd. A. The vehicle was in the west ditch. The vehicle was pulled out.
