FOR ANTIGO TIMES

Hopefully the really cold weather has left Langlade County for the season after this brutal cold snap.  A few new things are going on this month at the Center, as well as the usual.

Tuesday, February 12th, at 1:30pm, Joe Hermolin from the Historical Society is coming to give a talk on the historical buildings in Langlade County. This will be a good time to come and check out the Senior Center and see who the members are. All are welcome.

A Valentine’s Day Party is planned for Friday, February 15th from 1:30-3:45pm. Refreshments will be served and the Stone Soup Brothers Band will be playing. Come and sing along with Ron, Mel and Garland.

On Tuesday, February 19th the Lunch Bunch will be going to Luigi’s at 11:30am. After lunch, if you do crafts, come out to the Center and crochet, knit and do hand crafts with friends.

Weekly events are:

Monday: Mahjong 1-3pm

Tuesday & Thursday: Coffee & Conversation 9-11am

Tuesday afternoons: Check for speakers or trips

Wednesday: Bingo 1-3pm, free will offering for prizes

Thursday: Cards 1-4pm

Friday: Music 1:30-3:30pm

Monday – Thursday: Exercise 9-10am

If you are looking for card games, come and check us out. We are always open for new ideas. We are also open for new ideas for speakers and trips.

Future plans: a trip to Rhinelander on Tuesday, April 30th for a tour of the brewery there, lunch & shopping. The cost is $22.00.

If anyone is interested in a refresher CPR course, come and sign up at 1225 Langlade Rd., Antigo or call 715-627-6632.
