On Saturday, May 4, 2019 Aspirus Langlade Hospital will host an emergency preparedness drill that will include community  partners from the Antigo Police Department, Langlade County Sheriff Dept., Antigo Fire & EMS, Langlade County Health Department, Langlade County Emergency Management, American Red Cross, the North-Central Wisconsin Healthcare Emergency Readiness Coalition (NCW-HERC) Coordinator from Region 2, Regional Trauma Advisory Coordinator from Region 2, staff from Aspirus Langlade Hospital and special guests.

The drill will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the St. Joseph’s Outpatient Center and Volm Cancer Center.  The drill will serve as a training exercise for community partners to make sure that all reasonable steps are being taken to work together to problem solve and be better prepared if a disaster or tragedy should occur.  Drills and planning sessions are intended to provide an opportunity for community partners to share information, plan and learn from one another. The drill will be limited to individuals participating in the drill.

Deb Witman, Aspirus Langlade Hospital Emergency Preparedness Coordinator who arranged the event explained, “We are dedicated to promoting the safety of our patients, visitors and employees.  Although we hope we never experience a serious safety event like this, the hospital takes a proactive stance to ensure the safety and security for those present in our facility.”
