Eric Waldvogel, 21

Eric Waldvogel, of Westerville, Ohio, formerly of Antigo, died Thursday, May 23, 2019 of accidental drowning. He was 21 years old. He was born on January 13, 1998, in Wausau a son of Curt (Penny) Waldvogel of Wausau and the late Lori (Lueth) Damron.
Eric attended Peace Lutheran Grade School in Antigo. In 2006 he moved to Ohio. He graduated in 2016 from Westerville South High School.
He was currently attending Columbus State University and was working for Noodles and Company as a shift leader.
Eric loved to read, enjoyed going to the movies, especially Marvel movies and had a great love for animals. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his quick wit and great sense a humor.
In addition to his father and step-mother, survivors include a brother, Scott (Jessica) Waldvogel of London, OH; a sister, Emily Waldvogel of Columbus, OH; girlfriend, Kirsten Hermiller of Columbus,OH; three stepbrothers, Nick, Max and Jack Piskula of Wausau; maternal grandmother, Ruby Lueth of Medford; great grandmother, Imelda Artz of Antigo; and special grandparents, Tom and Lynn Gieger of Merrill. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mike and Judy Waldvogel and maternal grandfather, Albert Lueth.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at 12 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. David Karolus officiating. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
True to Eric’s caring nature, in lieu of flowers, a scholarship will be established in Eric’s name.
