Mars M. Chrudimsky, 66
Mars M Chrudimsky, of Antigo, died Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Evergreen Terrace after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was 66 years old. She was born on May 9, 1953, in Antigo, a daughter of the late Floyd and Audrey (Kamps) Chrudimsky.
Mars graduated from Antigo High School in 1971. She attended the Bellin College of Nursing in Green Bay and graduated from Alverno College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Her nursing career started at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, she returned to Antigo and was a nurse at Aspirus Langlade Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 2008. She was instrumental in the development of the intense care unit and cardiac care program at Langlade Hospital. She taught continued education classes at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was a member of Antigo Community Church and had a passion for helping youth grow in their faith.
Mars was a blessing to many by donating her time to Aspirus Langlade Hospital, Silver Birch Ranch, Awana and community prayer groups.
She enjoyed gardening, knitting, reading and camping. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and was a friend to everyone.
Survivors include four sisters, Carol (Richard) Kersten of Mazomanie, Sally Reed of Weston, Helen (Jeff) Schultz of Antigo and Connie (Randy) Duchan of Antigo; two brothers, Ed (Sandy) Chrudimsky of Antigo and Dewey (Kay) Chrudimsky of Aniwa; a brother-in-law, Vernon King of Phlox; special friends, Nan Merrill and Becky Royce; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda King and Crystal Chrudimsky; a brother, Paul Chrudimsky; and three great-nephews, Kaleb, Brody and Walker.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at 12 p.m. at Antigo Community Church. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
