Albert M. Zdanovec, of Antigo, died Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Wisconsin Veterans Home, King. He was 72 years old. He was born on April 7, 1947, in Antigo, a son of the late James and Katherine (Glugla) Zdanovec.

Albert was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1965. He attended Langlade County Teacher’s College for two years before being drafted into the United States Army. He was stationed in Fort Bragg, N.C. for two years.

He worked for Don and Ken Husnick on their potato farms before taking over his uncles’ farms. He helped his family by taking care of his two uncles and mother.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting his muzzle loader, playing pool, riding four-wheelers and horses, working on the land and playing guitar. He valued spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include two sisters, Rose Parker and Virginia Domino both of Antigo; three brothers, James (Marlene) Zdanovec of Oshkosh, Stanley (Sue) Zdanovec of Appleton, Eugene (Amy) Zdanovec of Little Chute; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerome Zdanovec.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at 11 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Mathew Simonar officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery where the Antigo Veterans will conduct Military Honors.

Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Bradley Funeral Home.
