Tim “Butch” Lenzner, 67

Tim “Butch” Lenzner, of Antigo, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. He was 67 years old. He was born on April 24, 1952, in Antigo, a son of Ralph and Pearl (Schmidt) Lenzner. He married Cheryl Verhasselt on July 23, 1977, at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo. She survives.

He was a graduate of Antigo High School with the class of 1970.

He was drafted into the United States Army and served from 1972 to 1974. He was a heavy equipment operator while in the military.

Following service he worked for the town of Norwood and drove truck for Schulz Creamery. For 31 years he worked for the Shawano County Highway Department retiring in 2008. He continued working by driving truck for Matsche Farms and plowing snow for the town of Hutchins.

He was a member of Mattoon Sportsman Club and St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church in Phlox.

His hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping, making firewood and most enjoyed time with his grandchildren.

Survivors including his wife are two daughters, Jennifer (James) Waupekenay, Wittenberg, Lisa Lenzner, Mosinee; a son, Scott Lenzner, Antigo; five grandchildren Patricia, Charlie, Annabel Matthew, and Makayla; three sisters, Marge (Gary) Antoniewicz, Chaseburg, Bonnie (John) Halambeck, Deerbrook, Cindy (Joe) Fuller, Antigo; five brothers, Jack Lenzner, Mattoon, Jerry (Karen) Lenzner, Eland, Paul (Sara) Lenzner, Wausau, Andy (Jan) Lenzner, Antigo, Clem Lenzner, Chaseburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joe in infancy.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Edmundo Siguenza officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery where the Phlox American Legion Post will conduct military honors.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the church. A parish wake service will be led by Deacon Tom Hartman at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
