Northwoods Triple Crown coming to fairgrounds

The Northwoods Triple Crown action will be held at the Langlade County Fairgrounds in Antigo July 12, 13 & 14. The event kicks off Friday with the Hope Rider Drill Team at 3:30 p.m. This year’s theme is a Salute to Horsepower and the history of how horses contributed to the Wisconsin Agricultural Industry.

The Logging Camp Supper on Friday July 12th will be served by the Ladies from the Antigo Youth Hockey Association in Authentic Logging Camp Dress. They will be serving stews, biscuits, corn bread and desserts all for just $10. Call to ensure your tickets-715-610-1065. The public is invited to attend.

Jason Julian will be demonstrating logging and farming with draft horses at 4 & 7 p.m. on Friday in front of the grandstands. Legacy Farms raises and uses American Brabant teams to farm and to log. This year’s keynote speaker will be Henry Schienebeck from the Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association.

If you have any historical logging pictures, be sure to drop them off for the display table July 11th or 12th at the multi-purpose building at the Langlade County Fairgrounds.
