Ralph Warren King Jr., 89
Ralph Warren King, Jr., of Antigo, died Monday, July 22, 2019, at The Bay at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He was 89 years old. He was born on July 5, 1930, in Chicago, Ill a son of the late Ralph and Edith (Fletcher) King. He married Arlene Schwetz on June 15, 1957, in Chicago.
Ralph served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He was an electrical engineer and in later years enjoyed seeing the country as a truck driver.
He moved to Antigo in 1979.
Ralph was a member of Faith United Church of Christ in Antigo and enjoyed making coffee for the men’s group.
Ralph enjoyed sailing with Arlene, their favorite lake to sail on was White Lake. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a proud father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include, his wife, Arlene; three daughters, Debra (Jerry) Johnson of White Lake, Laurie (Robert) Mackiewicz of Polar and Julie (Ed) McAllen of Galesville; seven grandchildren, Sarah (Jordan) Halverson of Virginia, Ben Johnson of White Lake and Kurt Johnson of Green Bay, Tony (Nina) Bricko of Madison, Scott (Kathern) Mackiewicz of Polar, Cassidy (Steven) Miller of Madison, Cedar McAllen of Madison; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother David King.
He was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Scott; his parents; and a sister, Virginia King.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Reverend Wes Jedras officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 30 from 1 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. service at the funeral home.
