Our monthly donation focus for month of August will be peanut butter. Monday Night Women’s Road Bike Ride August 19th 5:30pm Langlade Hospital, 112 E. 5th Ave., Antigo. The Women’s ride meets every Monday evening at 5:30pm at the Langlade Hospital parking lot off Hwy F. Everyone is welcome. Once a month they will meet somewhere different in the county. The alternative rides start at 5:45. Please email Mary Jo Filbrandt for directions and the routes for these alternative rides. Monday Night Run/Walk with Jack Lake Silent Sports Association August 19th 5:30-8:30pm Jack Lake Mountain Bike Trail, N8375 Park Road, Deerbrook. Start your week out on the trail! Join the Jack Lake Silent Sports Association on Mondays at 5:30 pm for a run/walk on the single track trails. They will meet at the trailhead located to the right when entering Veterans Memorial Park. You can then run, hike, or skip your own distance and pace and meet back when you are finished. Preschool Story Time August 21st 10:30-11:30am Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont St., Antigo. Join us for story time at the Antigo Public Library! This is a great way for kids who haven’t started school yet to meet & socialize with peers. Every week we’ll read 2 or 3 books together as well as doing some songs & movement. We also do a simple craft or coloring page that helps kids develop creativity & motor skills, & occasionally (attendance permitting) other activities such as parachute play. This event is geared towards preschoolers, but older or younger kids are welcome to attend as well.

Staff will provide a parent lesson, an activity for parents & children to do together. The activity will build skills for school readiness & milestone achievement. Puttin’ For Pink Golf Outing August 23rd 12:30-6pm Bass Lake Golf Course, W10650 Bass Lake Rd., Deerbrook. This is a men’s & women’s 4 person 18 hole golf scramble with a shotgun start at 12:30pm. Cost is $30 for members or $75 for non-members. This includes dinner after golfing. There will also be putting contest & many hole prizes. Prettiest in Pink contest for both men & women. There will also be a chance to win a $5,000 putting contest and a $10,000 hole-in-one chance. All proceeds go to help fight cancers in women and domestic violence against women. Antigo Farmer’s Market August 24th 8am-Noon Heinzen Pavilion, 603 6th Avenue, Antigo. All produce is locally grown by the vendor who sells them. Shopping at the Antigo Farmer’s Market is a great way to get local, in season food, and make connections with the people that grew it.

Gospel Music Fest August 24th 11am-4pm Four Corners Assembly of God, corner of Hwy. 64 & Cty. Rd. P, White Lake. There will also be crafts & vendors, kid’s activities, bake sale, food, over 40 raffle baskets and grand prize drawings for a handmade quilt, freezer with meat, a backyard fire pit, a weekend at a lakeside cabin & a 43” smart tv. This is an alcohol free event. All proceeds go the Boys & Girls Missionary Challenge for fresh water wells in 3rd world countries.
