Allie “Gene” Boyd, 74
Allie “Gene” Boyd, of Bryant, died Saturday, August 17, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 74 years old. He was born on October 20, 1944, in Antigo, a son of the late Allie and Decia (Ison) Boyd. He married Louise Markgraf on August 4, 1976, in Zion, Illinois. She survives.
Gene worked for John Filbrandt Plumbing & Heating in Antigo, Motion Systems in White Lake, and Robins Mill in White Lake.
A lot of Gene’s time was spent in the woods being an avid hunter and collecting firewood. He also loved and took great pride gardening at his home with his four-legged buddy, Spirit.
Survivors including his wife are four daughters, Bobbi (Marv) Hamilton of Logansport, Indiana, Lisa Chroge of Antigo, Paula Bultman of Antigo, and Melanie (Phil) Buckingham of Dodgeville; three sisters, Beverly Adkins of Birnamwood, Jo Ann Rogers of McLeansboro, Illinois, and Jean Boyd of Antigo; a brother, Bradley (Kay) Boyd of Antigo; three brother-in-laws, Ken (Shirley) Markgraf of Aniwa, Dan (Lisa) Markgraf of Florida, and Ricky (Dawn) Markgraf of Antigo; a sister-in-law, Pat Markgraf of Antigo; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Joshua Paull.
As per Gene’s wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
