Daniel F. Schulz, 79 of Mosinee, died on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
Daniel was born on February 28, 1940 in Birnamwood, the son of the late Lyman and Lenora (Wendler) Schulz.
On May 31, 1958, Daniel was united in marriage to Patricia Thorson at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Wittenberg. She survives.
Dan was a truck driver for over 50 years and had a perfect driving record. An avid outdoorsman, Dan enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, 4-wheeling and hunting. He especially enjoyed splitting wood. Dan was a true family man and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Kronenwetter.
Dan is survived by his wife, Patricia Schulz of Mosinee; six children, Deb (Don) Ziemanski of Gleason, Dave Schulz of Rib Mountain, Diane Schulz of Weston, Gary Schulz of Kronenwetter, Sandy (George) Grassl of Knowlton and Kristi (Jeff) Sather of Eau Claire; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim Schulz of Tigerton and Naomi (Steve) Dohms of Wausau and In-Laws, Dale Schoepke of Wausau, Agnes (Gordon) Schlender of Wittenberg, James (Barb) Thorson of Weston, Beverly (Dave Babcock) Radun of Lake Tomahawk and Joanne (Eugene) Preuss and Dennis Thorson, all of Wittenberg.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law Joseph & Mabel Thorson; sister Delores Schoepke and In-Laws, Tom (Viola) Thorson, Bobby Thorson and Ron Thorson.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Kronenwetter. Rev. John Czarnota will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Wittenberg. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
