The 7th grade Red Robins football team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 22-6  victory over the MHLT Thundetbirds.
The Robins fell behind early before putting up 22 unanswered points.
An offensive line featuring Nick Bostwick, Eli Robecht, Luke Bastle, Gordon Lucht, Ceth Gatton and Ayden Kaiser paved the way for a ground attack that rushed for 257 yards on the day.
Mike Hagerty led the way on the ground rushing for 156 yds.  Hagerty reached the endzone three times on runs of 5yards, 33 yards and 76 yards. He also punched in a 2 point conversion.
Wyatt Washatko added 38 yards and Dylan Matuszewski rushed for 30. QB Ethan Buchman went for 26 on the ground. JT Oelke and Colten Thomae also added some yards on the ground.
Buchman added a 12 yard completion to Kayden Novak to the offense.
It was a true team effort with the team battling the heat. Several players stepped up to fill positions so teammates could stay fresh.
