Warrant of the Week:

The Antigo Police Department holds a warrant for Jennifer S. Drexler 02-28-78. Drexler is wanted for failing to appear in court on felony charges of discharging bodily fluids at a public safety worker, and threats towards a law enforcement officer. Those with information on her whereabouts are urged to call the Antigo Police Department at 715 627-6411 or Langlade County Crimestoppers at 715-627-NAIL.  Callers may remain anonymous. A list of all of our warrants can be found on the City of Antigo website www.antigo-city.org.

New School Year:

School is back in session. Please use caution while driving during the morning and afternoon hours around all schools and playgrounds. Remember that the speed limit is 15 MPH in school zones when children are present, even if classes are over for the day. Also remember to watch for kids loading and un-loading from school buses, and that it is illegal to pass a school bus while the red lights are flashing. Especially watch for busses stopped on a four lane highway. If a license plate is obtained by the driver of the school bus the registered owner of the vehicle not stopping for the bus may be cited for the violation. Please remember that not all students are inside the school for certain classes. Some students will be on playgrounds, walking the boardwalk, bicycling, or using several of the football, baseball, and tennis courts for athletics.
