Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 9/16/19

ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS

Tuesday, September 3rd

Officers received a call from an area business reporting that a male subject had been there and gotten very upset, hitting his fists on a female employee’s desk and leaning over the desk. The caller told officers that they have had minor issues with the male subject in the past, but that day was excessive. The caller told officers that the male subject would be back the next day and they would contact officers if there was a problem.

Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he struck another vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64.

Wednesday, September 4th

Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a green van struck her on her bicycle in a parking lot on Superior Street. The caller told officers that her bike was totaled, but she had no injuries. She also told officers that she had the phone number of the male subject that struck her. He was described as a 30-40 year old male with reddish blond hair wearing light gray sweatpants and a white shirt. The male subject had told the female that he would pay for the damage. He then left going northbound on Superior Street.

A subject came to the Safety Building on behalf of an area business with copies of four checks that had come back from closed accounts. The subject told officers that all of the checks had been written by a specific subject who had stolen the checks.

Officers responded to a report of an accident at the intersection of Hwy. 64 and Hwy. 45. The driver of the striking vehicle told officers that they thought that the light had turned green and they moved forward, rear-ending the vehicle in front of them. No damage was done to either vehicle. The male driver of the vehicle that was rear-ended had slight neck pain and told officers that he was going to the hospital to get checked out.

Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she believed that someone had attempted to break in. At approximately 9:00 PM the caller was upstairs sleeping when she heard the dog growling. She told officers that when she went downstairs the door was open and the dog was hurt. Officers did not think that a break in occurred. The door was slightly open and the dog was down by the door which likely knocked off the loose door knob inside the house.

Thursday, September 5th

Officers executed a warrant attempt at an address on Lincoln Street. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Corrections.

Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that while parked on the street in front of a residence on Virginia Street, an elderly male subject struck her vehicle when he backed out of a driveway.

Officers executed a warrant attempt at an address on 5th Avenue. Officers arrested a female subject on her warrant.

Saturday, September 7th

Officers executed a warrant attempt at an address on Edison Street. The subject was taken into custody.

Officers were out with two subjects on Edison Street. Officers escorted the subjects home and cited them for open intoxicants off premises.

Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident in the drive thru of an area business on Neva Road. Property damage only.

Officers responded to a report of a sewer grate that caved in on the southwest portion of the intersection of Superior Street and Graham Avenue. The grate fell into the storm drain. Cones were placed around it so one would fall in and the Street Department was notified.

Officers were out with a subject on a bicycle at 6th Avenue and Edison Street. The subject was taken into custody.

Officers stopped a vehicle on Hwy. 64. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

Sunday, September 8th

Officers responded to a call from an area establishment on Elm Street reporting that they noticed that their computer was missing that morning and they think that it was stolen.

Officers responded to a call from a female from Pelican Lake reporting that she picked up her daughter from a residence on 6th Avenue in Antigo around 11:00 AM and when she got home she noticed that $200 was missing from her wallet. The female gave officers the name of a female subject that had been in her vehicle. Officers spoke with the female subject who denied taking the money, but officers spoke with a clerk at an area business who stated that two teen girls had come in and paid with a $100 bill. Officers were following up.

Monday, September 9th

Officers assisted with an EMS call at an address on 5th Avenue. A 26 year old male subject believed that he was having a heart attack. He said that his heart hurt. He was in a massive amount of pain and having trouble breathing. The male subject did admit to smoking marijuana that morning but denied using meth that day.

A male came to the Safety Building to report a theft from his yard on Fulton Street that afternoon. It occurred sometime between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. The items taken included an aluminum silver & black truck topper and about 10 fishing poles.

Tuesday, September 10th

Officers responded to a report of an accident in the parking lot of the Antigo High School. A male subject had fallen off of a car and the back of his head was bleeding.

 

 

LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT

Wednesday, September 4th

Officers responded to a call from the Probation & Parole office reporting that they had received information that a male subject had drugs in his toolbox at his place of employment. The office had received photos of needles, gloves and drugs in the toolbox. They also told officers that they had contacted the subject’s place of employment and they confirmed that there were syringes in the toolbox. The male subject was arrested and taken to Corrections.

Officers received a call from a female reporting that she owned property on Ackley Road, on the Langlade/Lincoln County line, and she noticed that someone had tried to pry open a side door on one of the two pole buildings on the property. She told officers that the incident must have occurred sometime after July.

Thursday, September 5th

Officers responded to a call reporting that there was a tree in the road on Cty. Rd. M, right outside of White Lake. Officers were able to remove most of the tree. The Highway Department was contacted to remove the rest of the tree.

 Saturday, September 7th

Officers responded to call reporting that an intoxicated female subject had jumped through a window into an area business on Circle Drive in Elcho and she was trying to smash other windows. The female subject was taken into custody.

Officers responded to a report that a subject had been walking home from a bar and fell into the ditch on the south side of the road at Mapleview Road and Hwy. 45. The subject needed assistance getting home.

Officers responded to a call reporting that a male subject was walking southbound on Cty. Rd. A wearing a white “straight jacket” type coat with straps, black gloves and ski mask carrying a rifle. Officers were unable to locate the male subject.

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in the mud on the ATV trail behind an area business at Hwy. 64 and Polar Road. Officers made contact with the registered owner. They were given until 11:30 AM to get the vehicle removed or it would be towed.

Sunday, September 8th

Officers responded to a call reporting that a male subject, walking on S. Clermont Street toward Forrest Avenue wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt, was stumbling, walking backwards and forwards and talking to himself. Officers checked the area and spoke with subjects in the area who said that the male was in the area but had left.

Officers responded to a 911 call from a male on N. White Lake Drive reporting that someone was banging on his door reporting that she crashed her car. The caller told officers that she sounded intoxicated. Officers checked the area but were unable to find the female subject. The vehicle was towed and held, waiting for the registered owner to contact officers.

A male came to the Safety Building to report a theft that occurred on the morning of September 7th at an address on W. 5th Ave. The male stated that a Ruger 9mm pistol, a motor lift, some tools and some batteries were stolen. The male gave officers the name of a possible suspect.

Officers responded to a call from a male on Cty. Rd. V reporting that his ex showed up at his residence intoxicated and started banging on his door causing a disturbance and broke one of his front windows. Officers stopped the subject’s vehicle at N. Superior Street and Mendlik Avenue. The subject was arrested for operating while intoxicated and disorderly conduct.

Monday, September 9th

Officers responded to a report of a one vehicle accident on Cty. Rd. I. The car was in a corn field. An 18 year old female subject had injuries. She was experiencing back pain and feared that she had glass in her neck. The vehicle was towed.

Tuesday, September 10th

Officers received a call reporting trespassing on some private property on Old 26 Road. The caller told officers that a row boat was found on the old railroad track that goes past the lake. This was significantly onto the private land.

Officers responded to a call from a female subject on Cty. Rd. F reporting that over Labor Day weekend when they were gone, someone cut and took the catalytic converter off her son’s 1987 Dodge that was parked in the yard.
