James Zilles, 32
James Zilles, of Gleason, died Saturday, October 12, 2019, from incurable metastatic platinum germ cell cancer at home under the care of his family and Aspirus Hospice. He was 32 years old. He was born on June 8, 1987, in Green Bay. On July 9, 2011 he married Lorie Doucette, in Green Bay. She survives.
He was a graduate of Luxemburg-Casco High School class of 2005.
James was a family man and time spent with his wife and sons is what he valued most.
He lived in Minneapolis for five years and was employed at Local Motion Moving Co. James moved to Green Bay where he worked at N.E.W. Plastics. The job he valued most was installing restaurant equipment for Restaurant Warehouse and Equipment. He moved to Gleason June 2019.
His hobbies included playing semi-pro football for the Green Bay Blackjacks, riding his four wheeler, body building and working out.
Survivors including his wife are two sons, Zander and Zolan Zilles both at home; his mother Mary Zilles, Sheboygan; step-father Todd Hoffman, Green Bay; maternal grandfather, Bernard “Roger” Zilles, Green Bay; father and mother-in-law, Jay and Teri Doucette, Gleason.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Donna Zilles.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Zach Weber officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Hoffmann Hall at the church.
