Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 11/4/19

ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Tuesday, October 22nd
Officers responded to a report of an accident on Langlade Road. The caller told officers that a small, blue Ford pickup with a loud muffler had been doing “donuts” at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Langlade Road. It then lost control and came up into the yard of a residence on Langlade Road, striking a mailbox and taking out a city light pole. The vehicle then took off going down Flight Road, down Parkway Road and then made a loop. It was last seen going eastbound on Cty. Rd. F at a very high rate of speed. WPS was notified about the pole.
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at Antigo High School.
Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he was locked in his shed on S. Hudson Street. It was described as a green lean to, to the right of the garage. The male told officers that they should be able to open it up from the outside.
Officers responded to a call from an area establishment on Clermont Street requesting assistance for a male subject. They told officers that they believed that the male was intoxicated because they found beer cans in the bathroom. The male subject had not been causing an issue but the caller believed that he had soiled himself in one of the chairs. The male was described as having a beard and wearing a black jacket with navy on the back.
Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a vehicle in the ditch at Charlotte Street and North Avenue. The caller told officers that the driver took off on foot wearing blue jeans and a dark jacket, and was currently walking on Superior Street. The vehicle was towed and held.
Wednesday, October 23rd
Officers responded to a report of a truck that had just backed into a power pole outside an area business at 5th Avenue and Superior Street. The pole was leaning out over 5th Avenue.
Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 9th Avenue. The driver was taken into custody. The vehicle was towed.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road requesting an officer for an employee theft.
Friday, October 25th
Officers assisted with a fire call at a residence on Wilson Street. Something was on fire in the oven.
Sunday, October 27th
Officers responded to a call from Langlade Hospital requesting an officer to help with a combative patient in the emergency room.

Wednesday, October 23rd
Officers respond to a call from a female reporting a vehicle in the middle of the roadway on Buettner Road. The caller told officers that someone was sitting in the driver’s seat as she passed by, but the vehicle remained in the middle of the road. The driver was highly intoxicated. They refused to do a field sobriety test. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was towed.
Friday, October 25th
Officers responded to a call from the White Lake School reporting that they believed a student had been drinking alcohol. The principal also located a cigarette in the student’s backpack. The female student was cited for underage alcohol consumption and possession of tobacco products.
Saturday, October 26th
Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he had just arrived at his land on 2nd Avenue in Gleason and noticed that some propane tanks and a trail camera were missing from his camper. Two 30 gallon propane tanks worth $250 and a Spartan trail camera worth $400 were the items taken. Entry was not gained to the camper itself. The items had been stolen from outside.
Sunday, October 27th
Officers responded to a call reporting that a vehicle pulled out onto Hwy. 45 from Cty. Rd. A and was driving southbound in the northbound lane. The caller then told officers that the vehicle was driving in the correct lane, but they put their blinker on several times and then cancelled it and kept going. They stated that the vehicle was also traveling very fast. The vehicle was described as a black Ford car. Officers stopped the vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Cherry Road. The driver was cited for operating after suspension.
Officers responded to a report of manure dumped on the east side of Cty. Rd. S near Mayking Road. The caller told officers that it appeared that a truck lost its load. When officers arrived a crew was on the scene putting sawdust on the road and cleaning it up.
Tuesday, October 29th
Officers received a call from a male on Cty. Rd. V reporting that when one of his truck drivers got into another driver’s truck today, they noticed a razor blade and some other items in the truck, plus a very strong smell that would give you an immediate headache. The caller told officers that he would call them when the truck was back, so they could come and check it out.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting possible fraud. They told officers that an elderly female subject was there trying to send a large envelope with cash.
Officers stopped a vehicle on Cty. Rd. A, south of Cty. Rd. C. The driver was arrested on Langlade County Sheriff’s Office and Marathon County Sheriff’s Office warrants.
Officers responded to a call reporting a truck in the ditch at Forrest Road and Cty. Rd. AA. The caller told officers that the male driver had very slurred speech and didn’t know where he lived. An ambulance was paged for a possible diabetic reaction. The driver was taken to Langlade Hospital.
Wednesday, October 30th
Officers responded to a 911 call from a female on Town Forest Road reporting that someone was at her door ringing the doorbell. She told officers that she didn’t know who it could be, that she lives in the country down a long driveway in the woods and she was frightened. She also reported that the subject was shining a flashlight in the windows and continuing to ring the doorbell, yelling “hey, open the door.” Upon officers’ arrival, they talked to the male subject who told them that he had been at the house before, and his truck broke down after he left. Officers found out that the male subject was wanted in Shawano County on charges of failure to appear/resisting/obstructing. He was taken into custody and transferred to Corrections.
