Strong Bones Exercise December 3rd & December 5th (Every Tues. & Thur.) 9-10am Langlade County Senior Center, 1225 Langlade Rd., Antigo. Strong Bones is an ongoing strength training program designed to help adults become or stay fit, strong & healthy. Individuals will improve muscle strength, bone density, self-confidence, sleep and vitality. Also, participants have shown a decreased risk of diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, depression & obesity. Classes are offered for an hour, twice a week. The cost is $42 for 16 classes. Youth Mental Health First Aid-Free Training December 3rd & 5th 3:30-7:30pm Antigo High School, Room 223, 1900 10th Ave., Antigo. Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers & others how to help an adolescent who is experiencing a mental health or addiction challenge or who is in crisis. Annual Chili Cook-Off December 4th 8am-5:30pm Downtown Antigo along Fifth Avenue. Antigo/Langlade County Chamber presents its annual chili cook-off. Teams will compete in either the roughneck division or traditional division. Chili samples will be handed out starting at 5:30pm. During the Chili Cook-off, the Antigo Optimist Club will be selling deep-fried cheese curds at the corner of Clermont & 5th Ave. Sales will start about 11am and continue through the parade. Preschool Story Time December 4th 10:30-11:30am Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont St., Antigo. Join us for story time at the Antigo Public Library! This is a great way for kids who haven’t started school yet to meet & socialize with peers. Every week we’ll read 2 or 3 books together as well as doing some songs & movement. We also do a simple craft or coloring page that helps kids develop creativity & motor skills, & occasionally (attendance permitting) other activities such as parachute play. This event is geared towards preschoolers, but older or younger kids are welcome to attend as well.

Antigo Christmas Parade December 4th 6:30pm Downtown Antigo along 5th Avenue. If you are looking for Christmas Spirit, this is the place to go! Parade floats must be ready for judging at 5:30pm. Prizes will be awarded in 3 categories. You can also join thousands of spectators along 5th Avenue for this great holiday tradition! This amazing holiday parade features more than 40 floats with lights, sights, & sounds of Christmas! Entries by area businesses & organizations, the Antigo High School Marching Band, the American Legion Color Guard, the arrival of Santa & more! As a result of completing the Recovery Coach Training, Dr. David MacIntyre & Benjamin Dahms have started a new recovery group meeting at Langlade Hospital. It is open to any individual recovering from any addiction, their family, and friends.
