Are you a private forest landowner in Langlade County?  Do you have storm damage from the July 2019 windstorm?  Are you in need of a forest management plan?  Do you have buckthorn or honeysuckle on your property?  Do you want to enhance ruffed grouse, woodcock, or song bird habitat on your property?  Are you interested in promoting pollinator habitat?  Does your forest have steep slopes with erosion on forest trails caused by harvesting equipment from the July windstorm?

If you have answered YES to any of these questions, consider contacting your local Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) office to learn about financial and/or technical assistance opportunities.  Office Phone is 715-623-6716.  Peggy Winter, District Conservationist extension 100.  Josh Suenkel, Soil Conservationist extension 102.  You may visit the Natural Resources Conservation Service website at www.usda.gov or you may email Peggy at [email protected].  Please consider contacting the office NOW so discussion and/or a site visit can take place before the ground is covered in snow.
