Michelle Mason, of Pearson, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. She was 62 years old. She was born on April 23, 1957, in Antigo, a daughter of Donald and Nannette (Powell) Malitz. She married Jay Mason on November 5, 1977, at St. John Lutheran Church in Pickerel. He survives.

She was a graduate of Elcho High School in 1975.

She worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block in Antigo and Crandon for the past 20 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pickerel where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

She valued time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Survivors including her husband are a daughter, Crystal (Russell) Frank, Almond; four grandchildren, Robert, Aaron, Joshua and Faith Frank; adopted son, Adrian Ploeger of Pearson; two brothers, Greg Malitz, Donnie (Rosie) Malitz both of Pearson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bruce Malitz.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Pickerel with Rev. Richard Kelm officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

She was loved and will be missed by everyone.
